my wife and I did a 7.30pm show. There were about 12 people in total. You do need to allow yourself a few minutes to find the place (the staff at the 4 Seasons were able to point us inthe right direction - just ask the valet people). The presenter was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys the subject matter. We were able to see Saturn and various stars/nebula which was great. It was windy that evening so that created the occasional blurring. We were able to download photos of what we had seen. Would recommend.

We met the guide at the roof of the garage of the 4 seasons next to our resort at Aulani. Very easy walk. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about astronomy. Through his telescope we got to see lots of neat stars, a comet, binary stars, whirlpool galaxy. It was also a full moon and we got incredible up close views. Very nice experience.

Our first booking needed to be rebooked due to clouds and rain, fortunately we were able to! Turned out to be a spectacular night with the clear sky stars and moon. We would highly recommend this experience for children and adults! Pay attention to your text as the hotel does move the experience to different locations, clearly there were people who didn't and 'got lost' but host did a great job to help them get to there

deep disappointment with the stargazing event hosted by Stars Above Hawaii, despite reading numerous positive reviews about the stargazing experiences, my recent encounter left much to be desired.
After a 45-minute drive from Honolulu, fully expecting a memorable evening under the stars.
However, our excitement quickly turned to frustration upon arrival.
Despite arriving promptly at the designated meeting point by the golden elevators at 8:05 pm, no one from the team appeared to escort us to the event location.
Only through the kindness of a passing hotel guest were we able to gain access to the 6th floor, around 8:20 pm where to our dismay, we discovered that the event was already underway. It became apparent that we were the only non-hotel guests present, highlighting a glaring lack of organization and disregard for paying customers.
Furthermore, the website advertised the event as a one-hour activity, scheduled from 8:15 to end at 9:15 pm. However, the astronomer concluded the session prematurely at 9:00 pm, depriving us of the full experience we paid for. This blatant disregard for the advertised schedule further compounded our disappointment.
Additionally, despite assurances in our booking confirmation that we would receive a text message on the day of the event regarding weather conditions and the precise location of the stargazing, no such communication was received. This left us uncertain and forced to take a gamble with the lengthy journey to the event site.
Also, the show its self is totally worthless to pay 108$ for two. The astronomer presented the Jupiter, and a few other stars, maybe a total of 4 or 5 stars.

This was followed up on with this guest in separate email he sent to the business directly. Not an experience any other person ever experienced in 16-years for sure and very odd. Not sure if this was the event attended and not another. Thanks anyway.

We tried to do this show two years ago but weather canceled it. This year we had a beautiful clear night with tons of starts out. However we had gale force winds and it was freezing! They moved the event from the beach lagoon to the top of a building at the Four Seasons. We had a small group brave the elements and our host, Mike, did a great job in spite of the wind. He was a NASA astronomer and very knowledgeable. His passion for the subject was infectious for sure. The views thru the telescope were amazing and he provided us with emailed photos of what we saw thru the scope. I think the show was cut short because of the conditions and I would do the show again on a better weather evening. I agree with other people that based on the number of people they should have more telescopes available for viewing. If you love to look at stars and planets, it was a great experience.

The hos was friendly and knowledgeable.
It was time consuming and a bit frustrating for 12 people to look through the telescope one by one...... It would have been much better to have a panel display for the the telescope so the host could do much more teaching and we could see more things

Host was very knowledgeable and friendly. Telescope was very good, however in a group of 12 people, it took too long for everyone to look through the eyepiece and it detracted from the opportunity to really learn about the Hawaii Stars. A video display where everyone could see during the presentation would allow for a much enhanced experience.

I joined many tours through TripAdvisor and I was surprised how unorganized and unprofessional the tour operator was.
1. The booking details and tour guide/operator failed to provide the starting time of tour. So I had to leave a message to the tour operator via TripAdvisor but did not get a reply during the contact hours . So I had to call the next morning and the call went to a voice-mail but I was not able to leave a message because the inbox was full. I eventually was able to get hold of the tour operator and when I told him I did not receive any information about the starting time of the tour, he said "oh TripAdvisor doesn't display the time." Well if that is the case, I believe it is the responsibility of the tour operator to provide the details but he failed to do so.
2. The tour operator assumes phone texting international number about tour cancellation is a sufficient way to communicate. The tour was cancelled due to cloudy weather but the tour operator just sent out the notice via SMS text. However it is quite common that phone texting doesn't always go through to international numbers and many tour operators use email or whatsapp to communicate.
Not knowing the tour got cancelled, I went to the reception desk at Four Seasons Resort to ask how I can get to the meeting point and the receptionist said the the tour is canceled and that I should have gotten an email notification about the cancellation. (Obviously I did not because the tour operator did not send out email notification) I called the tour operator but he did not pick up and it went to the voice mail again with full inbox. I was terribly disappointed and requested for a refund via TripAdvisor.
3. About an hour after the start time of the tour, the tour operator sent a very rude message to my friend's phone that I used to call him. He just assumed that the cancellation text got sent to my phone and blamed me for not reading the message. NOWHERE in the tour or booking details the tour operator specifies the cancellation notification will be sent out by text. It just says check with the tour guide before you come but how can I check when it's hard to reach this tour operator and his voice mail is full all the time?? Ridiculous.

Yes, I agree this is a ridiculous write up. Thanks for noting we did speak earlier the day of event. In that conversation I informed you a weather and location check would be sent out via text [Your voucher also states same thing from TripAdvisor quoted here: "PLEASE NOTE: A text message will be sent to you on day of your event around late afternoon to inform you of the weather conditions and the location of your star show."]; and it was. No other international numbers have had issues, and your friend's phone did get the text (you failed to note this). You failed to state you never followed up on the text sent out, nor called to confirm if in doubt if star show was still on, as it was cloudy overcast with light rain that you experienced, indicating viewing stars was not possible. You also failed to mention the most important fact as well that I offered you a FREE STAR SHOW for your inconvenience. Yet, you went ahead and wrote this ridiculous write up. I'm sure others will read through this ridiculous write up. Keep looking up and always reach for the stars. While you do, I will ask TripAdvisor to fix their write up on time of show. Aloha !

We are family of four with a four a year old and seven year old. Can we bring the 4 year old with us on the stargazing tour? If so, is there a charge?
