This region of Chile is superb. The countryside is undulating and when the sun is shining which it often is the area comes alive with splendor and grace. There are wineries that must be enjoyed when you are in this part of the country, beautiful establishment which ooze professionalism and success.

Went before lunch time. Stunning vies from the terrace.
The satff is super friendly. They should offer a few tapas to go along with the amazing wines you can try by glass.

It looked pretty dry but the vineyards are irrigated and feature many grape varieties. A nice break between Valparaiso and Santiago. Well worth the diversion - so much the better if you stop off to sample the products!

You have to make appointments for all the wineries as they want to sell you the tours. Other wineries in the world waive the tasting fee if you buy their wine, but not here.

Passeio ideal para quem gosta de vinhos, pois as vinícolas são muito bonitas e ainda pudemos fazer degustação na William Cole, Vina Mar e Emiliana, onde conheci vinhos novos e de ótima qualidade.

Confusing route. There are no maps or any bits of information regarding where to go. Once you show up at a place, they all need "reservations". For what? Nearly all the places had 75 workers talking, doing literally NOTHING. So disappointing. No wonder Argentina is walking away with the wine trails....

Don't rely on the map of the wine route. Buy a real map before you go. Also, the opening hours are frequently wrong. Call head to make sure they will be open. Hopefully, in the near future, the local businesses will realize that tourism is important.

Fizemos um tour pelo Valle Casablanca com a Destino Chile , nosso guia Reynaldo foi muito parceiro, entende do assunto. Foi incrível visitamos e degustamos em cinco vinícolas. Acho esse um passeio que não pode faltar em seu roteiro, paisagens lindas, vinhos maravilhosos, em todas as vinícolas fomos muito bem recebidos, tivemos excelentes explicações. Depois terminamos o tour com almoço sensacional com advinhe??? Vinho incluso.

There are numerous wineries in this beautiful valley of vines Chile are one of the Worlds major exports We visited one on our bus tour This was a such a lovely winery with character The wine itself was nice but not what we prefer Everyone’s got different tastes so you may love their reds & whites We did like some of the Chilean wine we tried elsewhere

We had such a luck with the weather during our wine tour here. Especially for the white wine I am fan of, we had the pleasure to got a few good wines from last year during the ride. The snacks were important to not get drunk immediately, but after the tour our group was quite tipsy. Now, what happened afterwards was to enjoy a delicious lunch and more wine. Very well organized, I think as Chile is pretty European, fun driver and delicious wine and food. If you're looking into knowing more about the gastronomy of Chile, come here.

WE are visiting Chile and will arrive in Santiago 5 days before we take a cruise out of Valpariso. We are staying two nights in Casa Blanca and another two nights in San Felipe and then going into Valpariso. We have hotels already booked. Private cars want over $700 USD to take us from Santiago to Casa Blanca, from Casa Blanca to San Felipe and then San Felipe to Valpariso. So my question is whether I can or should rent a car at the Santiago airport and drop it off in Valpariso or if there is reasonably priced taxi, bus, train combination to get me to my destinations. I would appreciate getting advice from experienced travelers in that area. Also, if I rent a car, do I need an International driver's license?
