Coming down the Zao Echo Line from the summit of Zao Mountain towards Onkarita Onsen Village, there is a waterfall observatory at an altitude of 700 meters. The waterfalls I could see from this observatory were Sankai Falls and Fudo Falls.
"Sankai Waterfall" flows down three steps in the deep mountains. On the other hand, Fudo Falls is the most abundant waterfall in the Zao Mountains. Both waterfalls are quaint in the sense that they flow down through deep mountains, but because they are quite far from the observation deck, I didn't feel the power or presence of the waterfall.

It is very rare to be able to experience 2 major waterfalls in one location. The Waterfall in 3 Stages (Sangai Falls) is the more impressive of the two being 181 meters long and 7 meters wide. It was very beautiful with the autumn leaves. but that means the leaves are hiding the middle section. When the leaves fall off You can see the 3-Stage Waterfall much clearer.
The Fudo Waterfalls is 54 meters long and quite wide at 16 meters. Most people were taking their pictures from standing on the benches. That's one danger and so is feeding the Japanese Monkeys.
We accessed the parking area Zao National Park from the highway in Miyagi about 20 minutes after passing the Zao Crater.
I think the previous reviewer that hiked to see the falls had a really spectacular hike.

エコーラインに向かう道路わきの展望台から、簡単に見ることことが出来ます。アクセスすることはできませんが、見る価値はあると思います。

お釜を見て、宮城県側に降りていく途中、『展望台』の標識があったので立ち寄ってみました。山の上から市街地を見下ろす展望台かと思ったら、三段の滝が見える展望台でした。
三脚を立てて写真を撮る人もいました。残念ながら、完全に逆光で、まぶしくてまともに見ることができませんでした。

三階滝は「日本の滝百選」に選定される落差181mの滝で、文字通り三段となって落下する滝です。澄川の支流・石子沢にかかる滝で滝見台展望台からその姿が見えるそうですが、訪問日は雲・霧が大量に掛かり視界不良で何も見えませんでした。
不動滝は落差54mの澄川本流に落ちる滝で、こちらも滝見台展望台からその姿が見えるが、蔵王不動尊近くにも展望台があります。どちらでも視界不良で見えませんでした。
音だけは聞こえるのですが、本当に全く見えず残念です。

蔵王の御釜の帰りに寄りました。三階滝は日本100名滝にも選ばれた滝とのことで、本当に美しい滝です。不動滝は遠景ですが、迫力があります。今回年休で平日だったせいもあり、この絶景を堪能したのは私達二人だけでした。閑かな滝見台から、圧巻の名瀑を見ることができて、最高でした。出来れば、このままひっそりとした感じであって欲しいと思いました。自然を大事にしたいと思います。

蔵王エコーライン「蔵王大権現 大鳥居」から車で7分（4.5km）ほど走った左手に「滝見台（無料駐車場）」がある。そこから二つの滝が見えるんですが、「三階の滝」はほぼ全景見えます。「不動滝」は下半分見えません。まぁ、九酔渓の「九重夢大吊橋」から見える「雄滝」「雌滝」の「雄滝」。層雲峡にある「流星の滝（男滝）」「銀河の滝（女滝）」の「流星の滝」・・・みたいな感覚。ちょっとストレス・・・。しかも雪降っててクッソ寒かった。

遠刈田温泉から蔵王エコーラインに入りお釜経向かう途中に、滝見台の駐車場があります。
駐車場から直ぐの所の展望台からは谷の向こうに大きな滝が遠望でき、かなり離れているにもかかわらず滝の音が聞こえ、その大きさと水量の多さを感じることができます。
この滝は三段にになって流れる高さ181ｍの三階滝と、蔵王連峰一の規模を誇る高さ53ｍの不動滝を見ることができ、雄大な景観を楽しむことができます。
駐車場から直ぐの所の展望台からは谷の向こうに大きな滝が遠望でき、かなり離れているにもかかわらず滝の音が聞こえ、その大きさと水量の多さを感じることができます。
この滝は三段にになって流れる高さ181ｍの三階滝と、蔵王連峰一の規模を誇る高さ53ｍの不動滝を見ることができ、雄大な景観を楽しむことができます。
