A beautiful place outside Kathmandu with a spectacular Mountain View. We went to visit the temple. First we walked through the forest until we finally reached the tempel.

I went to this place hoping I could catch a snow, but they said snow came 2 days ago. This trip was still rewarding. The quietness of this place is surreal! Locals are amazingly friendly and though the temperature was very cold (2C!), they are very warm. Great place to think and clear your mind from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The view going to this place is breathtaking. literally and figuratively!

Traveling to Dawn either to/from Chatman or Kathmandu is a superb experience. The "hills" are the newest range in the Himalayas consequently with different topography and fertility. Terraces scattered around switchbacks create beauty and interest for travellers at every turn. And when you arrive in sunny weather, there is the extra pleasure of a panorama of 8 of the highest mountains in the world. You are not up close and personal with the mountains, but hey, they are too big to fit into your lounge room so stop complaining.

On our last tour from Chitwan to Kathmandu, we decided to go via Daman. We had 3 objectives.
1) to avoid the same route we used (Pritvi High Way): we aimed to see more attractive places. 2)To see Himalaya clearly: Daman is a centrally located high land in Nepal from which we can see clearly .
3)To touch snow: It is a unique place towards south-west of Kathmandu, where snow has been recorded in a freezing month, every year.
The rout is amazing. Our vehicle was 4-wheel geared, so no problem to climb up steep roads. Roads are all tared. We saw few Maruti Taxis on the way.
Water falls and crystal clear water springs all the way there; alluring vegetation on both sides; heart pumping precipices on one side and a gigantic hill to the other side.
We reached to the one and only Daman Resort (Everest Panoramic View Resort) and had Lunch. The trail to the Resort from the main road also fascinating; felt like a nature trail.
There is a Pavilion made for the view of Himalaya, with table settings for dining. It was a very wet day, so we missed that dreamed view. No snow also to the place, another misfortune..should be then in December...
