July 1st always a good time with lots of activities. Saw mill; bread baking; etc.
This is all run by volunteers who put in many many hours to ensure facilities are kept up and I good repair.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The main museum building offers well organized displays and a variety of unique items to view. The outdoor buildings are very interesting and worthwhile taking your time to view.

Attending the Canada Day festivities at the Living Forestry Museum seems to be the "thing to do" in that area. Scads of folks flock every year to this event. It's old time fun, live entertainment that some enjoy kicking up their heels to.
Several exhibits are difficult for those who have problems with steps and are not wheelchair friendly. But, there is a "trolley" that goes around the grounds transporting people all day long. Some wonderful things to look for are.... fresh bread baking in a clay oven, a threshing demonstration, well drilling, shingle making, flour mill and many more vintage machines on the go.
Classic cars and tractors round out a very pleasant day.
