入口は巨大なコンクリートで作られた近代的なお寺で少し興醒めしますが仏舎利が発掘された昔からのお寺は趣もあり、博物館には発掘された舎利が納められていた箱等興味深い展示もあります。発見された地下室も覗く事が出来ます。中国の仏教の総本山みたいな位置付けかと思います。春節には沢山の人がお詣りに来るとの事で近代設備も必要なのかと。

The 法们寺 ground is huge due to the new display building housing the genuine 舍利子。However, the entrance fee has no option to select for visit only to the old temple and pagoda area. The pagoda as seen now was rebuilt much earlier due to destruction by a flood leaving half of it standing.
The sub-level chamber is amazing, it has displays of the Buddhism relics and inscription on the ceiling. The 3 舍利子 are the look alike of the genuine that were found in the underground chamber inside a beautifully made box. （以假乱真）
The temple museum is worth the time as it displays the relics found during the restoration work of the half standing pagoda
The new building is too commercialized and signs of aging are showing.

Before 8am, we took a metro to HaiChengLu station to buy bus tickets to Famen temple. Bus ticket was CNY37.5. This time they didn’t query for our visa. Journey time was 1.5 - 2 hours. Cool day with temperature throughout at 17•C.
We paid CNY35 for vegetable meals (free helpings). The meals were simple but delicious. It was not oily like most Chinese meals in China. Our family enjoyed the meal very much.
The crowd was manageable and comfortable for us.
The entertainment act was extraordinary. They presented a story as we walked through different stage rooms. In each room, the actors appeared in front or behind or beside us. With this crowd size, we can comfortably move around to get closer to the scenes and actors, to take our pictures or videos. The story ended with how the pagoda was rebuilt.
The temple had other stories to offer too. For example, they tell us how tea was an important part of the religious participants.
The prices of drinks and food are reasonable in the temple grounds. Clearly, they don’t encourage profiteering attitude on its premises. But as tourists, we don’t have WeChat options to purchase those drinks.
We took the 3.30pm bus back into Xian. At the bus stop, we learnt others had waited for 45mins. The time schedule on the notice board was for 2.40pm slot was not correct. We recall the company verbally told us it should be 2.30pm.

在扶风县，法门寺被塑造成佛教圣地之一。模仿大雁塔广场建造的巨大广场，形如抽象双手的高大的佛塔都有相当的体量。在这游览我总有种奇怪的虚张声势感。也许法门寺更需要的是一个原汁原味，古朴典雅的外观。文化搭台，经济唱戏也许是文化不够，规模来凑的另一种表述。

I tagged along with my colleague during our business trip. For me who is no here to worship is impress with the structural and building. Most of the people are here to pray and look at the relic. If you are not a believer, better to visit other places in Xian.

中国大部分寺院需要卖门票进入都可以理解。但是这个新法门寺（因为旁边才是真正的老法门寺）非常让人反感，进门看上去气势宏伟实际上是对佛教的玷污，大道边上有各尊佛像，广播里放着乐善好施、劝人为善的故事，大道边都是请香摊，饮料摊（无人收款，自觉付钱，里面饮料却不便宜）。到了新的舍利宫，里面都是各种请灯、祈福的收费项目。舍利大概放在离你有50米开外的地方，舍利很小根本看不清。旁边还有一批人买了白纸临摹佛经（这事家里也可以写，少来这里装）。出口处强制经过商场！如果你喜欢古色古香的地方可以直接去老法门寺

Famen Buddhist temple which was built 7 years ago at a cost of 10 billion yuan, however the old temple next door was much better; you could see some relics of the Buddha Shankyuni. However the scale and size of the new temple site is to be seen.

西安の城西バスターミナルから直行バスで2時間弱。
入り口へ向かう道でおばあちゃん達が必死に商売していた。
中はとても広く、新旧の建物の対比が面白い

This is a Buddhist temple which is still in use so you will come across worshippers inside as well as outside lighting joss sticks at the large incense burner.
Behind the temple is the pagoda and it is possible to walk down to the crypt which has been restored and is now brightly lit. Without a guide and not being able to read Chinese, the little that was on display meant nothing to me. A Buddhist monk knelt in prayer as tourists filed by.
The Temple Museum houses relics and treasures from the Tang Dynasty.
The site is quite some distance from Xian so unless you are in the area or are particularly interest in things Tang, it may not be worth your while.

The temple is some way out of Xi'an. I had to wait two hours for a bus (and the return bus never showed up! Had to catch a local bus to some town and then transfer).
The temple is interesting but, unless there is some special event on or you are really interested in Chinese Buddhism (or postmodern architecture), it's probably not worth your time.
The temple is very commercial and manicured which I find fascinating but I can see why some folks do not.
Look out for the anti-cult propaganda 😎

Die ganz oben angeführten Bewertungen sind im Text absolut unwürdig. Das Deutsch ist chaotisch. Die Bemerkun-gen sollten aus dem Chinesischen fachgerecht übersetzt werden und nicht völlig falsch und dumm sein.
