Some times in wine country you need to enjoy a scenic cider tour! A place famous for rugged landscapes, historic ventures, bountiful orchards and horse farms- the okanagan can surprise you!
Today is dedicated to the apple! Plantings originate in the 1860’s but with great growing conditions and fertile soils it drew many farmers to the Okanagan which helped shape the agriculture we know today.
One such destination was the Ritchie family whom built a large packinghouse in the 1930’s in the prime growing area off Scenic Road. Fast forward to 2016 when growers-turned-cidermakers, the Sebastian’s and Johal’s worked together to create their own artisanal cider using their premium farm fresh apples.
Hand pressed English/French and various dessert apples along with local fruit the family owned cidery makes a perfectly balanced portfolio fit for novice to connoisseur. Today we met Cidermaker Trish (Brock University) who gave us a detailed and informative tasting experience. Filled with excitement and passion, she explained the processes, high quality standards and the fun the team has when collaborating on each cider.
Scenic Road Cider Co. has a wonderful country charm, is surrounded by beautiful orchards and horse paddocks with a rustic showpiece of the packing house bringing it all together. Definitely in our TOP 5 cideries!
A portfolio perfect for beach picnics, bbq season, top restaurant pairings or après-ski! 🏆💎🍺🍏🍎🍐🍒

Our host was excellent, she explained everything in detail. Lots of cider options. The cider is very good as well. Would recommend a visit if you are into ciders.

Today was just a random beautiful day in the Valley buying apples and pears. We slipped in to Scenic Road Cider to buy a cider for tonight's dinner. We lucked out having the cider maker give us a quick review of how cider is made. We bought a case as it was so delicious, seriously good!!
He then sent us away with a suggestion of a peanut satay pairing with our nectarine cider. As I enjoy my dinner, I thank him and I highly recommend them!

Best stop ever!!! So friendly, so chatty, so helpful!!! Even better, the ciders were great / we liked all of them. It is a cute quiet little cidery just off the road. We will be ordering online in future after our selection is done.

We went here on a whim during a friend’s birthday getaway in Kelowna and are so glad we did! Trevor was hilarious and gave a great introduction to all their ciders. He really made the experience. The ciders are all delicious and they had a really good variety of flavours. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in the area!

This place was at the end of some renovations and is a great little spot. Good ciders with some great explanations on there processes.
They gave our kids some coloring and things to do.
Definitely recommend a stop. An option would be to bring some heavy sarcasm and wit for the bar tender.

This place has fantastic cider, hands down. We showed up right at closing time, but they were nice enough to accommodate us for our tardy tasting. (though I recommend showing up well before 5 PM)
They have a good selection of ciders with varying taste and flavor structures. The raspberry cider is simply fantastic.
Looks like they have a picnic area right alongside the orchard. I also understand this is a dog friendly place, so don’t feel you need to leave Fido at home.
Some of their selections are only available on tap, so bring a growler if you have one!
I recommend this cidery whether looking for that specifically, or happen to find yourself in the Glenmore area while looking for something to do.

We 4 adults were entertained and educated during our tasting of 4 delicious homegrown ciders. We left with great memories and delicious liquids (for both adult and hold).
There was a great sitting area overlooking the orchards and the valley. We were welcomed to stay and visit with our family in the sunshine.
Be sure to bring home a 5l carton of Apple juice! Delicious:-)
