This was a unique and enjoyable way to spend a Sunday in Toronto! You are introduced to seven restaurants by your tour guide Joseph, who is knowledgeable about the area, likeable, and genuine. In addition to tasting and experiencing the food, you learn about the restaurants' origins and how those histories are entwined with those of the surrounding neighbourhoods and the city. Going off the usual tourist track allows you to find hidden jewels that you would be very unlikely to find on your own and certainly not all in one afternoon. An intimate look into Toronto, which is energetic, friendly, and colourful. Additionally, it offers excellent value, especially with the current reduction. I heartily urge everyone to try this!

It was a terrific opportunity to experience all that Kensington Market had to offer that Local Toronto Food Tours took us there. The guide kept us interested with anecdotes, tales, food, and new locations for people who love authentic cuisine to return again.

This was a different and fun way to spend an afternoon in Toronto! The tour guide Joseph, who is full of local knowledge, likable and authentic, introduces you to seven food places, where you don’t just taste and experience, but also learn the story behind them and how their story is interwoven with the history of the neighbourhoods and the city. You get to go off the beaten touristy path and discover hidden gems that you are very unlikely to discover on your own, and definitely not all in the course of an afternoon. A glimpse at Toronto from the inside - colourful, casual and vibrant. It’s also a very good value, especially with the current discount. I happily recommend this to all!

An excellent day with Joseph Landau as guide. We visited numerous restaurants sampling different cuisines.
He was very knowledgeable and informative about the delicious food that was presented to us including its origin and how it ended up in Toronto.
Joseph is a historian and was able to enlighten us on the architecture and the history of the buildings in the area as well as the people that lived in the area over the many years dating back to the 1800’s

Fantastic afternoon! Joseph was a knowledgable and very entertaining guide. He was friendly and social! We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this tour from the general history of Kensington market and chinatown, to each food stop along the way!
it was a great introduction to life in the area and we will definitely feel more confident explore more on our own.

On one of the coldest days of the year, Michael was thoughtful, knowledgeable and passionate. He provided us with just the right amount of cool historical data, and mixed it all in with his own stories and experiences.
The food was fantastic as well. It really left you quite satisfied but not uncomfortably full. Every sample was so different from the last but equally delicious. We were there for a bachelorette and it was something really fun and different to do in the city.

Alex was an excellent guide. He was great at explaining the history of the area and taking us to places we would normally not have gone. All the food was great but I would have to say the spicy noodles were my favorite. Even though it was not a street art tour, Alex spent the time pointing out some spectacular street art to our son.
Would definitely use them again.

The tour was amazing - even on a freezing winter day. Julia was energetic, warm and funny and not only gave us background stories of the target restaurants but also the history of interesting landmarks which was refreshingly informative. We were led to 7 different tasting stations spanning from dumplings, main course to dessert and cheese and most of the food were above usual delicious and iconic of the local neighborhoods culture. The exploring walk was easy, a lot of fun tasting and learning about Toronto - the culinary is just a reflective of the multiculturalism. Highly recommended!

Julia was an amazing host and tour guide. Knowledgeable and easy to understand. Weather was cold but Julia pulled us inside frequently to keep us warm. Thanks Julia.
