Pendant trois semaines, Toronto vibre aux rythmes rapides et dynamiques du calypso, de la soca, du reggae, de la chutney, des tambours métalliques et des orchestres de cuivres. Plus d'un million de personnes assiègent les rues et les salles de spectacles pour danser auprès d'artistes débridés qui en mettent plein la vue avec leurs costumes aux couleurs vives. Ce festival propose une variété de styles musicaux, à commencer par le traditionnel calypso, qui est en vedette depuis la création de l'événement en 1967. On peut également y entendre de nouveaux styles de musique, comme la soca. Les attractions principales comprennent le bal du carnaval, ainsi que la plus grande parade caribéenne en Amérique du Nord.

It was much more terrible.we went to this parade today. We saw a lot of nudity and sexual scenes & songs.most of people smoked weed & were drunk.tickets MUSTN'T be sold for children under 12.my nephew is 7 & saw that horrible sexual scenes.that will have irreparable effect on his innocent soul.my niece is just 8 months and that terrible loud sound bothers her ears.some one MUST be responsible for our children's safety.tickets MUSTN'T be sold for children under 12.

多倫多加勒比海嘉年華，每年夏天7月底到8月初在加拿大安大略省多倫多市舉行的加勒比文化和傳統節日，現場可以看到許多表演者穿著傳統服飾，可以體驗到不同的文化，活動很熱情！

What a party! Smiling people everywhere, nice music (sometimes a bit loud), moving your hips, no violence or grumpy people, a feast for everybody. What I especially likes is the way that Toronto embraces all people and everybody is free to dress up as they like.

This was our first time to the parade , always intrigued by pictures. Went along the parade route and also purchased tickets into Exhibition Stadium. Amazed at amount of participants and colourful costumes. But once the first few groups went by, the rest were the same. No real dancers or performances. Which I fully understand, parade route took approx 6 hours. Don’t expect participants to be dancing for that long. Also very disorganized. Need Marshals on route. Participants were shoulder to shoulder, hundreds upon hundreds walking on the side of the floats which housed the music. How is anybody supposed to move or dance. I’m sure all those in parade had fun. Not many spectators on parade route. Now I know why. Great event for Toronto bringing 50,000 people in to the city to participate in the events, but if you’re going to have a parade and close down the lakeshore, why not make it something that spectators can come and enjoy.

My day started early
3 friends & I were guests on the Toronto Revellers float
That was part of the Caribana Parade
Our truck was pulling out #2
Just as we were breaking all the rules
Trying to locate our designated parking spot
It didn’t matter in the end, we lucked out and found a spot for FREE
We parked the car, grab our essentials and we were off
Running to catch the Toronto Revellers float so we could jump on board
We caught up to the truck and it was adventure getting on board
One leg up and brace yourself
While 2 burly security guys grab an arm and haul you on board
Once on board we made our way to the top of the truck and secured a spot
To see all the carnival revellers from atop the truck with all the beautiful colors
All blending into one big sea of love as they dance, bump and grind their way
Along the parade route, feathers, sequins and elaborate make-up are a part of each costume
The time, patience and effort that must go into the making of all the costumes
Its mind boggling when you see all of them together
The collective effort that goes on behind the scenes
The spirit of cooperation
And then we were offered a drink
A fancy Ciroc with either a pineapple or mango flavor
I enjoyed a pineapple flavored Ciroc for the first round
Damn delicious, even in the Liquid Sunshine (as they call it in Tobago)
Soon the food was making it rounds
Chicken Legs, Chicken Strips, Beef Patties, Timbits, Pizza
There was plenty for everyone and much was shared
Many interesting people boarded the Toronto Revellers Truck on parts of the route
We had a visit from John Tory & Doug Ford
I met so many lovely people who all welcomed me with open arms
To my first Caribana celebration
I felt as though I was in Trinidad with all the island love around me
It was a day of fun … time well spent with family & new friends
As we enjoyed a taste of the Caribbean together on the streets of Toronto
Next year, I hope to do it all over again with the Toronto Revellers
This crew really knows how to do it right
Everyone was looked after well with plenty food, drink & music
I’d like to personally thank Jamaal Magloire for the tickets and the opportunity
It was an experience I will never forget, an opportunity of a lifetime

每到夏日，多倫多就會迎來一項狂歡盛事 - 多倫多加勒比狂歡節。到處都充滿著加勒比的音樂、美食、表演、藝術；而這節日已經舉辦了50年，適逢今年是加拿大建國150週年，甚有其意義，一群盛裝舞者會進行長達10小時的狂歡游行和精彩表演，很能感受到其加勒比風情和熱情！

Great food, costumes and party music all day and night! I would recommend this to anyone who has not experienced this annual event. Being a white man, I have never felt intimidated or not welcome. This was probably my 25th Caribana. It's always a good time. Come one, come all.

My wife, teen-aged son, and I were glad we paid $100 each for grandstand seating. We watched from 10 am until 6 pm before we had to leave. The Caribbean music blasting out of speakers mounted on flat bed tractor trailers was almost deafening. By far the most popular song was "We jammin' still." The masqueraders were beautifully adorned, full of energy, and never stopped coming. There must have been thousands of them (90% women). All shapes, sizes, and ethnicities. A truly inclusive affair. Each band consisted of several sections with their own themes.
The procession was delayed from time-to-time to allow the music trucks to move through the masqueraders. Although delicious food was available for purchase, the smart people brought their own food.
A seven-foot fence lined the parade route to keep viewers away from the dancers, but some men hopped that fence while many others found a way to join the masqueraders causing delays in the parade. Each band competes with the others. I enjoyed seeing so many people coming together simply to have fun. Maybe next year, i'll join them.
