Arrived in Churchill without our luggage, so didn't get a chance to change out of our travel clothes. Pilot made every effort to make sure we had a comfortable ride.
As to the ride? One of the most amazing journeys we've had. November 8, saw 43 polar bears, a dozen moose, arctic hare, arctic fox, and some fabulous scenery. I recommend to all my friends to book a tour with Churchill Nature Tours and see some of the most beautiful things in this world.

During our Polar Bear Tour with the Great Canadian Travel Company in October, my husband and I chose as an option on the last day, to do a 60 minute helicopter flight with Hudson Bay Helicopters. We both really enjoyed it and recommend it to people who are visiting Churchill. If you have the time and the budget, this tour is a must.
It certainly isn’t low priced for the 60 minute flight, but it is worth every single cent. The Company guarantees that you will see bears and if you don’t, they will refund your money. We were lucky to see polar bears and herds of moose. In total, we probably saw about 12 bears along the coast line. Some sleeping, some hanging down near the bay, a mother and a cub on the ice, as well as a couple of bears covered in blood, who had obviously recently had a kill. The flight also gives you the opportunity to see the landscape for what it is ie. vast and empty. It gives you such an appreciation for the tundra – a whole lot of nothing. It was good to see the township of Churchill from the air as well.
The pilot was knowledgeable and gave us lots of information along the way. He was able to point out things of interest to us. When we spotted something, he would turn the helicopter around and fly as low and as close as was allowed, enabling us to get a better view and to take pictures.
I would highly recommended this tour. Enjoy.

Cherie
