Terrible experience here. Our camp site 53 had to use the electrical and water hook up located in front of the door of the neighbouring site 52 because that seasonal resident is not in the proper location. This required throwing our hook ups under the camper next door and fishing them out to plug in. The site at 54 has their fire pit less than a foot next to our property line.
Worst though is the bathrooms had no running water or flushable toilets! Absolutely disgusting in there. Will never return and recommend you consider finding another place to camp.

My husband and I took a nice walk around the pond. It is a pretty little place with an interesting pavilion containing painted instructions on how to catch and fillet a fish.

My husband and I are avid hikers, and thought on a whim we'd take a look at CM since we'd never been. Definitely not worth the parking fee. Seems mostly to be a spot for kids; VERY small in size, with really no trails (500 meters to a sunken platform in the woods, or walk around the pond I guess?).
We left after about half an hour and drove down to Rondeau instead.

This is a great place to camp, fish, walk, or even have a wedding reception. There is also an area to teach children about safety.

Chatham Kent is very flat and trees are a rareity except for a few places such as C.M Wilson Park. Good walking area on numerous trails. The childrens Safety village is another attraction fit for people with young children.

I have attended many events, family picnics and Wedding Receptions here and the setting is perfect if you like nature. The fire place in the barn is great for an evening party.

My boyfriend and I went camping here. It was a lovely campsite. Very spacious on our lot, but there's nothing to do. There are no trails to walk and the only swimming would be in a nasty pond. Not every campsite has a fire pit. Luckily for us it's did but the campsite next to us didn't so luckily no one was camping on it. It's boring and more then one night would be too much.

I call this a hidden gem. My kids love riding around the safety village. The new playground is a welcome addition. We also like to just walk around the water and play on the docks. It's a great afternoon escape

This area needs some updates bad. Better lawn maintenance would be great . Maintenance work needed on bridges . Not a lot to do for kids .
Washrooms need to be updated! My wife camped there while I worked, would I recommend she go back there to camp; NO

Have been going to C.M. Wilson for many years for day trips. Have never camped there but have walked through the area, the sites are pretty open to others, some are more private but not too many. It's a nice place to go for a walk, especially in the fall as there is a wooded area to walk through. There is also a barn which you can rent for a group's activities that has a kitchen and a big firepit. If you plan on using the kitchen bring something to disinfect all surfaces as there are mice. It is a barn not a closed in building. There is a pond which you could swim in but remember that it's a pond, not the lake.
