Stopped in finally for lunch after passing heading south many times. So glad we did, not disappointed. Golden beer is delicious and freezing cold as beer should be. We sat inside which has a really nice atmosphere. Plenty of outside seating as well. We ordered the special which has onion rings on the burger and the mushroom, onion burger, I added cheese. Absolutely Devine!
Shared an order of fries but they were not for me. My husband enjoyed them and really appreciated they offered mayo as a fry condiment which rarely happens, he usually has to ask. Server was very pleasant and we grabbed a six pack to take home too. Will definitely return. Very reasonable pricing. I will say it's a bit of a burger hidden gem considering the location.

Really good brewery on the way to camping / canoeing in central / northern Ontario. Highway 400 is at least 4 lanes, divided, all the way from Toronto to north of Parry Sound. Three or four exits north of Parry Sound, the 400 goes down to 2 lanes and turns back into Hwy 69, just north of the exit for Killbear Provincial Park (which is Hwy 559). The first road after the exit for Killbear is Woods Road, you take that left and then a very quick right, proceed down that road for a short distance, and there's Norse Brewery. Who knew? Almost no advertising on the highway. Easy to miss. You snooze, you lose. Great lunches and beer/ale. If you're going camping at Killbear and want some beer to take with you, this is well worth the 15 minute detour - instead of exiting at 559, go 5 minutes further to Woods Road and take the left. Your camping experience will be enhanced by savouring one of their brands around the camp-fire.

Owner was still there when I showed up. He gave me a tour. Inside is beautiful with lots of wood. Menus are on wood tablets. He also gave me 5 samples to try. All delicious with no bitter aftertaste
Had the cabbage rolls to go. Real yummy!!!
Take a group of your friends and enjoy

My husband and I were camping ant Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park and looking for an outing. We discovered Norse Brewery by googling breweries in the area and were impressed with the great reviews. It was a nice day and we had our dog, so we decided to sit at a picnic table outside. The owner brought us out a taster of the different beers they had to offer. From this we ordered the pint we wanted. The owner was extremely attentive to our needs while we sat outside. He was out several times making sure we were okay. We ended up buying some beer and a t-shirt to take home with us. I would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area or passing by.

To be served a tasting flight straight away for our first time was amazing. Definitely not a typical lager or red, the European hops bring something to the table most Ontario craft beers miss.

We took the time to enjoy a burger (excellent with fresh cut fries) and I enjoyed their Maibock and red.

A stones throw off highway 69 and will become a routine stop here on in. Don’t miss this hidden gem, craft beer lovers!

When travelling to Killbear Provincial, Park, my wife, noticed the Norse brewery sign on the highway. Luckily we took the turn off. When we arrived, we found a rustic but new brewery. They had five beer ready to go on top and gave us free samples of each in order to make a good selection for our pints, kind of like breweries used to do. We chose to sit outside in rustic pavilions with laser engraved logos. All their menus and their serving trays are wood with laser, engrave logos as well, adding to the atmosphere every beer we tried was excellent. Supposedly the kitchen just opened up two months ago gave a wide selection of homemade hamburgers and fries, and they were amazing! One of the owners served us, and was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be back, and preferred to another brewery located in Parry Sound.

Great beer, friendly atmosphere, good burger!

This place is a surprise, a little north of Parry Sound, and worth the drive.

A limited selection of beers (three in cans, four on tap), each of them excellent, well balanced and worth trying. Try the Golden!

I popped in to pick up some cans and stayed for a mushroom burger. It was great. Thoroughly recommended.

Norse brewery is a hidden gem just north of Parry sound. Norse brewery creates some very fine, organic beers. I have sampled all of the offerings and especially like their golden and red beers. We stopped there this week and had lunch there. They make the best hamburgers in the Parry Sound area. Homemade patties, cooked to perfection. Definitely well worth coming of the highway for a quick visit.

The brewery is off the main roads, the place is decent, they have a nice setup for tables outside, the beers are pretty good.
Owner is very friendly and provided us a nice taste of some of the beers.
Maibolk was nice, Dark Ginger ale was very good too. Picked some up and family liked them.
Overall a nice brewery to visit when in the area.
