We paid a lot extra for the Ambassador Lounge experience being promised a lounge with savoury nibbles, a glass of prosecco, an ice cream and private washroom. In my innocence at this considerable extra price I expected a spacious area with comfortable seating and a choice of savoury nibbles a la Hors D'oeuvre variety. The reality was a small dark room fit for 2 people in which 4 couples were accommodated on hard chairs. The savoury nibbles turned out o be cheese and onion crisps. The private washroom basically just a small toilet. We declined an interval visit for the ice cream. At least the glass of prosecco was correctly described

We saw the Dolly Parton show was great fun excellent! But it was incredibly hot in the theatre very uncomfortable. We had seats in the stalls good views but we were in row Q the staff were very noisy kept walking behind us opening doors etc . Need to be more aware of the audience. Also sorry but£ 4.75 for a small tub ice of cream is a rip off ! Even the opera house in London doesn’t charge that !! Won’t buying an ice cream again !

We went to see Count Arthur Strong . Great show he is amazing! The theatre is a beautiful old building! Really loved it! We had special tickets with Peter talking us to a private lounge. It was brilliant. We had drinks and snacks all part of the tickets. If you go check out the package! Peter was brilliant kept us entertained until the start of the show! Then took us to our seats. Then was ready for us at the interval. He made the night for us! Great show, great customer service, Great night! We will be back!!!

My husband & I visited in March to see Drop The Dead Donkey & loved the show! We had booked one of the Royal boxes & thought this was good value for money (only a few more pounds each than one of the main floor seats at time of booking).
We had lots of leg room & a handy small table for drinks. Great view of the stage as well.
The small bar at the back of the entrance was very busy but the queue moved quickly. The only downside was the cost of drinks each round -£19.00 for a large wine & vodka & tonic.
Looking to see what shows they have on next for another visit.

Michael mcintyre was amazing, really funny, Jake, his support act was also very good, so no complaints there. We had really good seats in the stalls and the view was perfect. We love this theatre. Now for the not so good stuff.....We had to take a package with the seats, not a problem..champagne is always welcome!! We arrived on time, but along with some other couples we had to wait. The package was meant to start 90 minutes before he start of the show. After about 15 minutes, they finally let us in, saying that builders had been using the spaces, frankly, not our problem, they should have been ready. 3 glasses of champagne each apparently equates to a bottle of champagne between 2 people. It was Moet, so that was OK. The nibbles were very disappointing. A couple of packs of crisps. For the money paid, we expected some cheese and biscuits and maybe a few canapés. We were meant to have private toilets to avoid the queues....out of order, so we had to a queue with everyone else.
The girl who was in charge of our room was really good. It is just the actual package that disappointed. They didn't seem to be set up for what they were offering. Because we had to wait etc, they did acknowledge that they were at fault and we got a glass of prosecco each.
Not worth the money we paid,

Beautiful theatre and friendly staff, women in black fantastic. Unfortunately the seats I originally booked in row a didn't exist anymore so we got moved a few rows back which was a shame. Bring a coat as the theatre is very cold.

We went to see The Simon and Garfunkel Story on a Friday evening. We had booked 6 months in advance via the ATG website and although wife does not remember choosing to include a VIP Experience we had this which gave us access to The Ambassador Lounge, a free glass of Prosecco and 2 tubs of crisps.
Once we entered a staff member took us to the lounge. It was very small, it had 9 seats however we had a host who served the included drinks. We could also purchase additional drinks and order halftime drinks which were ready and waiting.
As well as singing Simon and Garfunkel songs they told their story supported with video and photos and the whole evening was most enjoyable. They were accompanied by a bass and lead guitarist/pianist and a drummer, who were all fantastic.
This is an old building, but theatre was nice. We were in the stalls, row J and our seats 14 & 15 were bang in the centre so we had a very good view of the stage.
There were quite long queues at the ice cream stall, which clogged the area around the toilets. The ladies queue was huge and evening the gents were queuing.
Getting out was also slow as the 2 guys singing went to the foyer to sign autographs and sell their CD's.
We would go back assuming there was a band or show that interested us.

Is there anywhere to store a pram during a performance?

Not sure but I would have thought so. Call and ask

Is there somewhere to dance when bands play here?
I am not a robot.
Rédigé le 10 janvier 2018
There is plenty of leg room between the seats but you would still be dancing in an aisle....there is some space at the back of the Stalls on the ground floor where you could get alot more vigorous with your dancing. Like i said in the review, the view from anywhere in the Stalls is good. So going to the very back of the Stalls would give you the room you need.

If I am planning to book to go into the Ambassador Lounge, would you recommend a seat in the circle rather than the stalls? Or does it not really make a difference? Thanks.
Rédigé le 24 octobre 2017
Hello
I think you will have a good view wherever you sit. Maybe a bit more room in the stalls.
Enjoy your show.

Can anyone tell me how wide seats are? Are they suitable for very wide hips?
Rédigé le 18 septembre 2017
Hello there
We had seats in the second circle and space was at a premium!!! Seats close together so if you need extra space suggest booking one of the boxes or maybe the stalls??
Enjoy the show!!!

What is special about "premium seats" in the stalls?
Rédigé le 8 juin 2016
They are closer to the stage and cost more.
