Found the park and the tea room outside the park entrance a great destination to spend a couple of hours before taking the Bluebell line back to East Grinstead. The park has several pathways to meander around admiring the trees and plants surrounding several Lilly pad planted lakes at different levels. The house unfortunately isn’t open to the public but can be seen in various settings as you walk around. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited these fabulous gardens in mid September. Lots to see and gardens are stunning at this time of year. Staff were helpful and accommodating as we had two people with mobility issues. Provided a double mobility scooter that enabled all of us to enjoy all of the facilities.
Very impressed with the gardens and support from the staff who were only too willing to help. Made the day out a great success.

Came with my husband, an independent wheelchair user, but was shocked at the state of the disabled parking area. Extremely uneven with lots of large stones, husband found it extremely hard going getting to the entrance. Surely this area could be made more even without ruining the aesthetic of the place. Couldn’t get to the cafe either due to same problem. Shame, as would think twice about returning.

Loved this experience today with lovely 21 degree weather the place is well maintained and scenic.
The Coach House tea house looked a real disappointment and could be enhanced greatly with a bit of imagination. This is so of most National Trust places where you he F&B and shops are dull and dreary.
Will return with my own food next time.

Very over priced.
The gardens are a lot smaller than they look on the map.
We stopped at the only refreshments area which was very small with incredibly dirty tables and chairs. They looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks, which there’s no excuse for.
Wakehurst Place is much better, with more impressive formal gardens, longer walks and better facilities.

We visited Sheffield Park gardens on a Wednesday morning in July, the gardens are owned by the National Trust and entry is free to members. We drove here and there is a good amount of (free) parking available for visitors.
We were met at the entrance by some friendly and helpful staff, the entrance area has a small shop and toilets. We also noticed access to mobility scooters (including doubles), to tour the park for those that needed them, though whether you are required to pay a fee for these this facility we are not sure.
The gardens are quite extensive, so if you like a nice walk in the countryside then this is for you. The gardens have some large ornamental lakes compete with wildfowl on them and it is possible to get some very nice pictures and various vantage points around the park. The views are stunning, and if you take the trouble to stand and savour the scene you will be presents with infinite shades of green in the surrounding trees and foliage. We found a small café as we walked around and enjoyed a café latte here before continuing on.
A most enjoyable walk through the park, a relaxing experience communing with nature.

Took a picnic here in the nice weather and it was absolutely beautiful. The lakes home some gigantic fish (carp?) the lily ponds were in bloom as were all the otherwonderful plants here - the place boats giant red redwoods too. There are lots of nice little walks, all easy on the eye and good facilities and staff.

Beautiful well kept gardens.
Lots of walking, sensible shoes a must.
Places to picnic and the little on site coffee shop highly recommended.
Lots of large established trees which are fantastic to walk under on hot days !
Super clean toilets
Lovely staff
A real must to visit
Only upsetting issue is that some “modern” parents do not seem to teach their children the meaning of no.
Signs clearly state no climbing so was upset to see children climbing up the old trees, hanging off branches and trying to break off branches

We came twice in order to see all of the Garden. Woodland walk was wonderful on a sunny day. Water Lillies were out in full on our second visit. We hope to come back.

Gardens are beutiful and a lovely walk, with plenty of areas to explore.
The Coach House Tea Room.
A real disappointment, staff not intrested and lack any customer service.
The scones which at other NT sites are good, were hard and dry, tasted they had been left out for a long period of time , very disappointing.
