I have not skied for 25 years, and I was a bit reluctant trying my hands at skiing again as the previous experience didn't end well. However it was part of the tour itinerary and the alternative was just to sleep longer. Not a value for money activity.

After some briefing by the tour guide, we were sent on our way and I was pleasantly surprised I had not forgotten the moves and did not fall even once during the 2 hour session. Time flew so fast and we had to check out from our hotel and move on to another destination in the itinerary.

Overall I enjoyed the ski session and was thinking I should come again to Vivaldi as the prices were relatively reasonable.

Come earlier in the morning as the queue for ski equipment rental started to build up when we finished skiing at 11am and there's a risk of running out of lockers which such huge number of visitors.

第一次滑雪,單是穿上滑雪裝備已經累死了,走路都走不好,好不容易走到雪場開始學滑雪,原來滑雪這麽難,要學跌倒,好玩卻累死啦。

Booked a package from Klook and it includes ski clothing, equipment, transportation, moving walk passes and ski lessons.

The ski clothing and equipment were clean and comfortable to put on. The place was well-organized when it comes to collecting clothing and equipment. Unfortunately, the ski lesson was not very well covered. As we took the beginners' group lesson, our instructor was a little impatient with those who were slower in grasping the concept. Even though it was stated in the package that the lesson will not cover the slope, but I think it is important to get lessons on how to properly and safely ski down the slope. Well, since we were given the moving walk pass, it only makes sense that we, beginners also get some lessons on the slope since that's where the fun part is. The slope is divided into beginner and advanced by the way.

Another thing is, there were a lot of children there on the beginner's slope. My bf and I have to force ourselves to fall back in order to prevent bumping into them.

So my suggestion is, go for the private lesson if you can and check if they provide lessons on the slope.

Overall, I felt that skiing is a fun sport and we are definitely not cut out for it. Will I visit again? not really.

Nothing particularly special nor horrible about this alley. There are no extra services; you just rent a lane and bowling shoes. Service is so-so, neither friendly nor unfriendly. Lanes work fine and all other operations seem to be fine. Overall, it is very vanilla but, personally, it was still a good time for anybody looking to just bowl. It is safe and clean so, if any families are on the fence, I would recommend.

It took us about 1 1/2hr to drive (include toilet break and a little traffic jam within Seoul) from Myeongdong to VIVALDI Park Ski World. You may use KakaoMap to check the driving distance and public transport.

They also provide transfer from Seoul city and return, please check their website for details.

Remember to bring lots of heat pack for hands and feet. Suggest you bring your own skiing gloves, scarf and earmuffs/winter hats.

For tourist, you may visit their Tourist office which is a small office away from the main building (facing main building for skiing on your right).

At the Tourist office, there’s English speaker assistance at the counter. You may book your skiing lesson and entrance tickets from here. Remember to book your skiing lesson in advance if possible as they have limited English speaking instructor.

Depending on the age of the child, the younger ones can go to their indoor ski where slides is available.

There’s also a food court on level 2 of the main building, I think they serve better food up there. Starbucks is also located on level 2.

The resort is just across the main building but difficult to get room so we did a day trip instead.

Overall, it is a very well maintain course since it is used for competition. Day ski closes at 4pm when we were there. Too cold to ski at night. I think last ski lesson is at 3pm. You may watch your child whom learning skiing lesson inside the visitor’s center office.

Many combined with Nami Island and other places and skiing as one day trip but for us we do it in two different days. Since we have children with us so we do not want to rush. You need to spend at least 5 hours here (include all the queuing and a meal).

I'm not going to comment much on Daemyung Vivaldi Park - overall it's a good place to ski. There are different slopes for everyone from beginners to experts. You can choose to ski or snowboard. I booked a full-day ski tour on Klook, and the package includes ski clothes & equipment, transportation, unlimited moving walk passes and ski lessons. Unfortunately for me, my ski coach wasn't that great and didn't speak good English. If you are already good at skiing, I think you're going to enjoy Vivaldi Park. However, a note of caution for total beginners like myself - you need to be of a certain fitness level in order to ski. The boots are super uncomfortable and the equipment is really heavy. Skiing takes up a lot of energy. By the time I finished my ski lessons, my energy was already drained out. Please bear in mind that the faster you go, the harder you need to brake (common sense really but I wish my coach had warned me this before I went up the hill). And don't go on the moving walk until you are really confident that you can go down the slope.

Something for everybody.

We came here to ski as a family with 2 young children. Discovered that there was so much more to just skiing. The highlight would be the view of the slopes from our hotel, plus the night time skiing!

Snowyland was a whole day of snow activities for the kids, from sledding to tubing to all things snow.

The resort was also fabulous, the facilities were thorough, we got to try some of the famous Korean food (HBC Chicken anyone?) .

There is a free shuttle to and from the resort, all you need to do is book online.

This park is good for kids who just want to enjoy snow and play around. They have traditional Korea snow skate and slades. They also have ice hockey for kids. A gondola ride to snowyland was exciting where you can see the see the whole of the vivaldi. Good for non-skiers and family with small kids like us. We enjoyed our time at Snowyland till it close at 5pm.
