Sambhar Lake is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts! Visited recently and was blown away by the tranquility. The vast saltwater lake is a peaceful retreat with stunning views. The surreal landscape and vibrant birdlife make it a photographer's dream. I spotted flocks of flamingos adding a pop of color to the serene surroundings. The salty breeze and the sound of water are therapeutic. Though the facilities are basic, the natural beauty compensates. It's a perfect spot for a day trip, offering a unique experience away from the hustle. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful escape!

Out of the World Experience

Sambhar is only touched by Bollywood fraternity till now…

Experience is surreal. But if in case you are driving from Jaipur via Jobner roads are bit difficult to travel.

Place looks where sky and land are meeting together.

Picturesque experience. There train which they are charging around 2000k for as an experience at salt lake area requires some cleanliness and maintainence..

Sambhar is a hidden gem. Never heard of it much before visiting but now its a much recommended place from my side as its a natural wonder with such significant historical value.

And the most important part of this city is its Salt Lake Beds, the place which produces 9% of total salt of India.

Its mesmerising place. Highly recommended for 2-3 nights with family and friends

Around 75 kms away from jaipur.. it took us roughly 2 hours to reach this place. It produces 8.7% of salt produced in India.

Once here, we drove on the white sand, saw those salt evaporation ponds where we touched and picked those huge salt blocks.. The whole area is covered with narrow tracks of mini salt-trains.

The place is also known for the migratory birds flamingos which travel from central Asia to Sambhar salt lake every year. So you can also see them here. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility around.

Wonderful weekend gateway for NCR residents. Not a very happening place but way far from city life. Bring your own food and water as its a typical village. Its an natural lake and water level depends on nature.

Sambhar is a beautiful town located 75 km from Pink city of Rajasthan towards Ajmer/Kishangarh, There is a diversion after 30 km from Ajmer national highway and turn right to travel another 30 km fo Sambhar after passing through few villages. The main visiting site for travellers is Sambhar Salt lake. Other important landmarks are the Sakahmbhari Devi temple which is a deity of the Rajput clan Chauhans associated with medieval times and local Sambhar town. The place is world-renowned for its migratory bird's flamingos which travel from central Asia to Sambhar salt lake every year. It is recommended to stay in a luxury tented resort near the lake to experience natural surroundings for overnight and walking excursions to nearby villages to understand the daily lifestyle of Indian rural people, the medieval temple of Sakhambhari Devi, and photography. Sambhar is having a typical Indian heritage town featured in many Bollywood movies and music video shoots. Travelers can use Sambhar as a base to visit Pushkar, Ajmer, and other heritage places including Roopangarh and Kuchaman. #travelwithpathik
