Just returned home from our visit here, it was a gift for my birthday. I love birds of prey in particular owls and have visited many bird of prey centres. SMJ Falconry completely blows them all out of the water. The experience from start to finish was amazing, the one on one personal touch made it really special. From our arrival Katy and Steve made us feel so welcome as did Sandra the lovely lady who owns it. Katy and Steve’s knowledge of these beautiful animals is excellent. They clearly love the animals and the work they do. Both were really friendly and answered so many questions we asked. The owls we saw and flew were beautiful, all different characters in their own unique way. If you do visit this wonderful place please try to see Julie Ann the vulture, she is wonderful to interact with. Twilight the barn owl was a character but my favourite of all was Tyke the burrowing owl. I can guarantee you’ll want to put him in your pocket and take him home when you see him perform. Once again thank you Katy and Steve for making my experience a very memorable one.

Amazing, I got my husband the full day hawk experience & the half day owl one for his birthday, everyone was so lovely & told you all sorts about the birds & answered all are questions. Would really recommend going if you get the chance.

A truly brilliant, amazing and up close experience with the birds. The team were fantastic and their passion and love for the birds shone through. We did the half day experience and got to fly 5 birds as well as learning more about them. Highly recommended.

Colleagues at work adopted me a barn owl and I went to visit her.
Twilight was beautiful and I was able to feed her . This was one thing on my bucket list to have an owl on my arm.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, giving you all the information you need and will answer any questions.

We had an amazing Owl experience - loved every minute of it! It was great to handle the owls and learn lots about them. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this experience.

SMJ Falconry brought a selection of their beautiful birds to my son's birthday party, and were absolutly amazing.
The two members of the team that brought the birds were very knowledgeable about their birds, and the birds were incredibly well behaved. Any child or adult at the party who wanted to was able to hold the birds (under supervision) and some of the birds were flown for us to see. The only reason all the birds wasn't flown is because a local buzzard scared some of SMJ's birds.
Thanks so much for making my son's birthday so memorable. He is a huge fan of birds of prey and it made his day (possibly year).

We thoroughly enjoyed our morning at SMJ Falconry. Katie & Jess were really welcoming and extremely knowledgeable & all the birds were stunning!

Took my fiancé for a surprise day at SMJ falconry for his 40th birthday. I could not have been more impressed! The staff Chris and Steven really knew their stuff and were happy to answer all of our questions. The staff really tried to make his day special and made sure we got to meet all our favourite birds. I can honestly say that going for a walk with the Harris hawk “Peter” on the beautiful grounds was a real highlight for me. We are both now bird of prey addicts and can’t wait to go back.
