Beautiful gallery, very nice owners. Good atmosphere, interesting paintings. I had really good time to find gifts for my family. There are different artists works, for all the tastes.

The Lithuanian folks who run the gallery are absolutely delightful and the gallery and the art work are fresh and interesting. Nothing is unduly expensive and so we were able to buy several pieces that we could bring aboard ship that didn't take up too much room.

Absolutely loved our time here. We were fortunate enough to meet and chat with a local author (Linda Hansen) and one of the artists.

Direkt an der Hauptstraße findet man diese Galerie. Sie ist klein aber fein und absolut einen Besuch wert! Zu empfehlen!

We have been lucky enough to visit here twice now and were very pleased to find it open on the second visit to Honningsvag.
The gallery is lovely, the art is beautiful and not too expensive. The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable about what they are selling and about the artist.
We bought a framed print this time as well as 2 just mounted and all were carefully wrapped so we could safely pack them.
Definitely worth a visit.

I venured inside and was pleasently surprised by all the wonderful handmade crafts. I ended up buying a lime glass fish that is now hanging in my bathroom window. It even came with it's own string to hang it from!! The cost was very good considering it is handmade.

Just stopped in for a look and ended up buying 2 pieces, really lovely work and a great representation of the Norway landscape. Lots of different sizes/types available for various budgets and the staff were very friendly and chatty.
They packaged the pieces very carefully in tissue paper and then rigid cardboard on either side - donated by the other local shops and recycled by them!

I don’t usually bother to review shops but this gallery was interesting on several levels. First, the contemporary work reflects the local natural environment, the artist uses beautifully bright colors and everything is quite affordable. The gallery is open when many other places are closed, especially to accommodate cruisers. I bought two small pieces that are nice reminders of a very scenic trip. Mine are just prints but in the window they have something I’ve never seen before. Some of the works are printed on transparent stock and when the light shows through they are quite intriguing and different. If I had a place to use them I would have considered those as well as they really caught my eye. One more great thing about the shop is the two young people (aka Gallery Elves) tending it that day. Their English was excellent, they helped us look for the right prints in the right sizes, and were very informative, patient and fun. If you know anything about Norwegian culture you know they love their elves - me too, especially these two! BTW... there are a few pieces of object d’art there as well. The shop is very close to the Scandic Hotel, just across the street and up a side street. It’s a very worthwhile stroll.

Great place to buy original and beautiful souvenirs from Norway (and easy to pack.) They sell paper art, miniature cloth reindeer and other artistic creations. It was a Sunday. As we glanced through the window, the shop manager opened early for us. Although skeptical about going here (because the cruise ship excursion guides recommended it), we were pleasantly surprised.

it was nice to visit the gallery and the artist workshop further in the island shows how to wile away the dark nights and make a living creating art from scrap paper
