an easy way to spend an hour. The area is clean and interesting. It's low key and unmanicured but very pleasant. We didnt see many butterflies but very many caterpillars

Although this garden is fairly small it is a pleasure to walk around. I only recently learned that it existed. My grandchildren enjoyed spotting monarch butterflies as well as a few other ones I'm not sure of the names of. The flowers are beautiful, grown especially to attract butterflies .We also spied a chipmunk, some caterpillars , as well as birds enjoying the pretty surroundings. The garden is along the Desjardins canal in Dundas. There is no charge for the gardens.

The butterfly garden is a beautiful place to visit just off of the side of Coote’s Drive in Dundas. It's a peaceful green space and it's fun to explore if you're looking for somewhere quiet to walk around.

As a butterfly gardens there are a lot of different plants, shrubs, and flowers along the network of trails here. There are a number of different signs providing more information about the gardens and many of the plants have their own signs as well.

During the warmer summer months I imagine that there are a lot of butterflies here and that the greenery and bright colors from all of the flowers make it a much more interesting and welcoming place to visit.

Even in the winter I had a good time walking around and it's nice to find little Parks like these in Dundas. The butterfly garden the good spot to bring your dog or kids for a quick outside Excursion.

Parking is free and there are a few parks and trails nearby so it's possible to spend an hour or two in the area.

It's basically a garden where butterflies roam around freely due to various flowers, water sorrundings and fruit trees.
If you r a photographer then this is small but cool place. We visited complete place and took many beautiful pics of birds, butterflies, tortoise and ducks. You can spend around 1-2 hrs.

We visited these gardens for the first time, late in September, a little past it's prime. Still there were lots of fall blossoms and we saw a few Monarch butterflies, some Cabbage Whites and grasshoppers. At this time of year the large plants loom over the path and create an interesting walk through this garden/jungle. We really enjoyed our leisurely stroll through it and down past the canal. We will for sure come back next summer to see the gardens in their summer glory.

The Urquhart Butterfly Garden is easy to find and has free parking. Whether there are actually any butterflies there or not will depend on the day and weather conditions. When I visited there were very few butterflies but I spent some time photographing bees, wasps and a few other critters which were in abundance. Very few butterflies on the morning I was there.

Not too big, not too small, filled quiet corners populated by local plants and butterflies. Situated on land reclaimed long ago from the old DesJardins Canal turning basin, there's plenty of parking right near the main road. The central kiosk provides helpful identification information for butterfly seekers.

The butterfly garden by the Legion Hall--though somewhat unkempt--provides for a relaxing midday moment. It does feature a number of interesting plants that are labelled, as well as pictures of the insects that are attracted to the plants.
