Petřín Park’s so lovely, even though we’re hikers we took the funicular up that was included in our day pass and ambled slowly down through different paths down the left side of the funicular starting at the rose garden !

Personally I wasn't crazy about the park, certainly on nice days it is pleasant because there is a lot of greenery and people doing sports, families etc., at the same time I would recommend, if I had to select the activities, the Vysehrad park which offers a panoramic view from the side opposite of the city. We were forced to climb to the top of Petrin on foot because the queue for the funicular was shocking, it's a quarter of an hour walk but quite steep so if it's hot I don't recommend too much. There is a nice bar with a panoramic view halfway up. On the way down we took the funicular which would work well if it weren't for the users. Not being particularly interested in the reconstruction of the Eiffel Tower that you will find at the top, I would say that we recommend it mostly for the view, but in my opinion if for example you went to Mala Strana at the Castle, you will enjoy an excellent view at almost the same height, so in my opinion if you can do without it!

Stunning views over Prague from Petrin. Access via a funicular with the possibility of long waiting lines. Better take the walk up hill. Nice and relaxing, steep on some parts but actually a short hike. Great views over Prague.

Petrin Park is obviously part of Petrin, the famous hill in Prague that's home to the wonderful Petrin Tower ,Prague's equivalent to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the gardens are nice ,some are well laid out while others are more unkempt, great to walk around, if you're on Petrin Hill the gardens are most definitely well worth checking out.

Went not really knowing what was there. Lucky no queue when we got there but 100 plus queue when we came down. Had a short walk, seemed nothing much other than garden. We paid but later found out was free if you are over 65 as is all transport in Prague.

Petrin Gardens - a beautiful city park. Entry is free. At the top is the observation tower. I went for a walk four times.

I highly recommend visiting during autumn when the trees in the park shine with color. In spring everything is in bloom and late fall/winter offers the best views of Prague because of the lack of leaves shielding the view so you can't really go wrong with any season. The park is so romantic and magical, there are many trails going to various directions and each one of them has something to offer - breathtaking views, hidden corners, remainst of historical forts, churches, restaurants, playgrounds, fountains, statues, an esoteric gallery. There can be a lot of tourists on the main trails but there are many others to take. If you don't like climbing hills and stairs, take the funicular up the hill and walk down by yourself.

The actual park is not that great. We did not go on top of the tower, so I cannot describe the panorama from there. What I can say, however, is that the walk down from Petrin Hill into the city, at the least the one my friends and I did while backpacking, was simply, completely, and entirely stunning. My word! The pictures are an injustice to how beautiful the scenery was.

Fun to wander the parks, observatory and tower at the top. Can also walk through to the massive stadium up there. Cheap to use the weird bus monorail thing too.

Located up on Petrin is Petrin Park ,an oasis of calm amidst the hussle and bustle of area around the widely popular Petrin Tower ,Prague's very own Eiffel Tower .
In Petrin Park you have the Mirror Maze and the more wild unkempt but very beautiful park area ,my twin brother Stephen and I were in Prague in December for ten days on the run up to the Christmas period ,the park was covered in a thick blanket of snow looked beautiful ,if you're planning a holiday to Prague it's a park to most definitely check out.
