Phil Pepin 100 Mile Wilderness is amazing. We were two women hiking from Mt. Katahdin back to Monson. Phil shuttled us to Baxter State Park, provided two food drops (so necessary!) and gave us fantastic advise about special campsites, water availability on the trail and so much more. His cabins are immaculate and charming. I ended up alone the last 4 days because my hiking buddy had a hurting foot. It was comforting to know that Phil was aware of where I was along the trail as I went solo.
The last day I got off the trail at around 5 PM. Phil had my vehicle waiting for me at Route 15. I drove to his place for a hot shower and one more night in one of his adorable cabins. I cannot recommend his services enough. Just give him a call, he takes care of everything...except you need to do the hiking!

Phil is the big man on Campus for the last stretch of the AT. His place is extremely clean, welcoming, and adds to the spirit of the AT. Phil knows the trail, helps build the trail, and also helps the trail sustain its character. I was very pleased with the services provided.

Our group of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a fantastic adventure hiking through the 100 Mile Wilderness, but we couldn't have dome it without Phil! The information and annotated maps he provided helped us plan the trip and the resupply points that he arranged meant our packs were far more manageable to carry. Along the way he provided the comfort of knowing that he could extract us if needed and at the end he arranged transportation back to our start point at his camp, which is beautiful. Thanks Phil! You helped make our adventure a reality.

If you are considering a section hike in Maine's 100 mile wilderness look no further than Phil Pepin. As a registered Maine guide, Phil was extremely knowledgable and helped us plan our hike, down to which streams were dry and where private camping spots were along the trail to avoid crowded lean-tos. He was extremely hospitable and warm, his camp was immaculate and well appointed- hot showers!! More than we could have asked for! When we were bested by the rocks and roots, Phil fished us out without question or delay and directed us where to sightsee the rest of our trip. Such an interesting and personable man, with the best camp dog to keep your dog fix in check! We missed our dogs and loved snuggling Woody. I would go back just to hang out that's how much I loved this place and Phils company.
Thanks again and see you next year I hope!

My husband and I only had just under two weeks of vacation from work to travel to Maine and attempt to conquer the Katahdin and the 100-mile wilderness. With Phil (100 Mile Wilderness Adventures and Outfitters), the logistics were a breeze. From sent-ahead maps with personalized campsite recommendations (options throughout the AT away from the crowd at the lean-tos was marvelous!), to hot showers and four beautiful rustic walls of the private cabin waiting for us at the end of the 100-miles, Phil made our dream adventure possible. The genuine consideration he shows his guests is exceeded only by his own shared experiences on the trail and Katahdin. Thank you Phil, and Woody too, for the hospitality, camaraderie, professionalism and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Phil Pepin and 100 Mile Wilderness Adventures and Outfitters is one of the best backpacking outfitters that I have ever encountered. The 100 Mile Wilderness is a beautiful and extremely rugged section of the AT in the middle of Maine between Monson and Baxter State Park. Phil provided bunkhouse accommodations, shuttle services, resupply, and an amazing wealth of knowledge for the people in my group. I just can't say enough positive about my experience with Phil Pepin and 100 Mile Wilderness Adventures and Outfitters.
