What a great way to explore the highlights of Morocco. Mountains, deserts and unique villages. The experience for a family of five adults was amazing!

Prossima volta... Deserto.... piano piano...!!

I used this company for a trip from Marrakesh to Fez with with 2 friends. I would never recommend this tour company, I cannot explain enough how bad they are. Everything went wrong with this trip. I have backpacked through Australia, Europe, the Balkans and America so I am used to difficult and poor conditions, however this is the worst experience I have ever had.
Day 1 - No one on out tour had an idea what was happening, where we were going etc, driver did not speak English and was not interested in trying to communicate. We asked many times to call the office to get an understanding and he refused. At one point we got dropped off at a small bar and were left with a guide without a word of warning. Our itinerary had been changed completely to what we had been told. On our way to the Zagora desert our driver got lost which made us miss the sunset, the only reason for staying in the desert! Also we were not told to take anything to the camp, the camp had no water, toilet roll, was extremely cold, and the food was very minimal.
Day 2 - we had been advised by the company we would go back to a hotel for a shower, this did not happen! We had to find a local to translate for us and ask the driver where we could shower, he stated we couldn't. After a couple hours driving back the way we had come the day before (as they had changed the itinerary we wasted an extra 5 hours diving), the driver stopped for a drink, I managed to find a shower in a restaurant which again we had to pay 25 dirham for. After this we ended up back at the same place we were the previous day, Ait Ben Haddou, we were told this was free however the driver got a guide who advised us we had to pay 25 dirham each plus tips! After lunch all of a sudden our bags were taken out of the van and we were ushered to another van with a new driver, again no one spoke English and we had no idea what was happening. Again we arrived late to out next stop so it was dark and we didn't get to see anything of the Valley of the Roses or Dades valley. That night we stayed in a freezing cold hotel which served the exact same food as the night before.
Day 3 - This day was mainly driving, we stopped at an old kasbah for longer than we should because some local girls on the trip who spoke Arabic wanted to buy dates. As a result we did not have any time at Todra Gorge, just enough for a photo. Again we had to drive for hours back the same direction to get to Merzouga desert.
We arrived at the camp and were not met with a glass of mint tea or headscarf, again this was all very rushed.
Day 3 - we woke up at 5:30 which we advised to and waited over an hour to leave the camp. Arrived back to what seemed a house to have breakfast which was a piece of bread and honey. Again we were told we can't shower. All the other people on tours began to leave the area by 8:30am. Finally after being ignored for an hour we were advised there was no taxi for us to go to Fez. We were left waiting for over 3 hours in the heat, with no shower, no food and no access to water, and of course with no communication as to what was happening! Finally at 11:45 an extremely small taxi arrived to take 6 of us to Fez (plus our bags). As you can imagine we had no space in the car it was very squashed. This day was supposed to include many stops however all we did was driver straight for 8 hours with one stop for lunch.

I travel as a backpacker and I do not expect luxury or things to go smoothly, however when I have paid a lot of money for a tour I expect to get what I pay for. This tour company is the worst I have ever used and would not recommend anyone to use it. We saved up for this tour and feel this one of opportunity has been wasted because of the company we used. When we did complain they responded by basically saying you only spent 550 euros. This is disgusting.

If you are doing a desert tour do not use this company!

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We went on a four day 3 night tour from Marrakech to Fes and we were very disappointed with the service we received. We were provided a driver who appeared to have no understanding of what was actually going on, he got lost and had to stop to ask locals for directions (we missed sunset on the camels due to this) and was unable to communicate with us as he only spoke French and Arabic. We understand that the itinerary states that an English or French driver would be provided however every time we asked him to contact the office so we can speak to someone who spoke English he refused to do so. He appeared disinterested in even attempting to communicate effectively with us. There were 8 people on our tour and no one understood what was happening throughout the day as there was no communication. On the second day, although it states you do not have to pay for entry to Ait Benhaddou, the driver specifically stops and waits for a tour guide to meet us. The tour guide then states that it is 25 dirham for entry, plus tip. The itinerary also states that after each night in the desert (we had two nights) we would be taken in the morning to a local guest house to have a shower. The driver had no knowledge of this and after the first night we had to argue with him repeatedly about this. We were able to find a local person to translate for us and we were eventually able to shower but only where the driver had stopped to have a break. We also had to pay to have a shower in addition to the cost of the tour. On the last day, it appeared that the company completely forgot to organise our transport to Fes. We were stuck in Merzouga Desert for a further 3 hours waiting for our transport (everyone had left at 8:30am we didn't get picked up until 11:30am). We again had no access to shower facilities, no food or water facilities and again there was no communication from the company. As our itinerary stated we were expecting to have several stops on the last day on our way to Fes. This included having a barbeque in Zaida, continuing to a Berber Village to see the Barbarian apes and to stop of at Ifrane. None of this happened. Instead we sat in a car for 8 hours with one stop for lunch only. When we contacted the company to complain they took absolutely no responsibility and refused to provide any remuneration for failing to provide the service we actually paid for. Instead, they commented that we had "just paid 555 euros" for 3 people. We consider 555 euros a great deal of money for backpackers and this was meant to be a once in a lifetime opportunity that we paid for and our experience with this company has completely ruined our Morocco experience.

We went on a 3 day desert tour. We thought we would be in the desert immediately after leaving Marrakesh but were disappointed in the fact that out 2 days of driving we only spent 6 hours In the the actual desert. That being said, the drive through the towns and Atlas Mountains were fascinating but we wished we had done more research before we left as everyone spoke French and there was no guidance in the vehicle as to what/where/ we were driving through which was a pitty as we saw so many interesting things we wished we could have stopped at.
So basically took us 2 days to get to the advertised camels, 1hr ride into the dunes and a 5:30 wake up call the next morning for a full days drive back to Marrakesh (17 hours!) It was a wonderful bucket list experience, but not one I would do again...

Before departure I was very anxious/stressed out, due to the dodgey nature of everything in Marrakech. Read some of the recent negative reviews and became even more stressed, considered cancelling (and losing deposit). In the end decided to chance it.
The first location guide of one of the old towns demanded an extra 30 dirham per person (booking the package, said all this was included, but I decided to keep the peace and pay anyway) - was a decent tour.
Chose the upgraded luxury hotel option for that evening for an extra €60 per person- was well worth it (Hotel Xaluca), included dinner buffet and breakfast.
Next day was a guided tour of a Berber village in Dades Valley, where quite afew movies were shot also. Very interesting, guide did not try to ask for extra money, and wasn’t pushy in trying to sell souvenirs- in fact discouraged buying from shops along the way.
We opted for the quad biking on the Dunes - was very good though we were worried about time as our camel ride would then start late. All was fine in the end.
Camel ride is long- 2hrs or so. Bring water !
Paid 10€ extra for the private tent- was way too hot, had to sleep outside.
The camel ride back by moonlight was magical.
I can’t give an excellent rating, as although the experience was fantastic, the level of stress and uncertainty was very high.

This trip was purchased online for half or a quarter of some other companies so it was done with some trepidation and low expectations. Firstly, full payment is demanded up front, secondly pick up at hotel turns into make your own way to the square with a call 45 minutes late, thirdly there is no commentary, fourthly the vehicle was very substandard and fifthly, the usual stop at tourist traps were made: but we made it home, the price was fair and it was an experience.

It could’ve been a good 2day Zagora tour, if the provider cared at least a little.
We’ve been picked up from the hotel in time, but it was the last pleasant surprise for this trip. We came to some place in Marrakesh where we have waited for an hour to be moved to another (worse, of course) minibus, less comfortable, dirty and for more people. The air conditioning didn’t work, which was awful! Even when we requested, the driver turned it on on minimum and turned off after 15 minutes or so.
The driver himself seemed nice, but didn’t speak any English, so could hardly understand when we asked something and couldn’t tell us anything at all about the places we drove past, which were interesting I suppose.
The road through mountains were very curvy, and together with Moroccan driving style it puts a lot of pressure on your stomach, so I’d recommend taking some medication even if you don’t usually have problems with that.
For the lunch we stopped at the most expensive restaurants with the food of quite poor quality, so if you have a chance to slip away and eat just around the corner for a reasonable price - do it.
In the evening of the first day we switched to the camels and went to the so-called Berber camp. The camel trip was a cool experience, however quite short - 15 min tops. We knew Zagora wasn’t exactly a desert, but still expected a bit more. It’s a small sandy territory (no high dunes here) no more than 500 meters from the road. The tents were ok, but very cold - we’ve had a huge hole under the “door” and the cold wind was blowing through it during the whole night, so we couldn’t get enough sleep. Toilets were very poor, but this was expected. The dinner in the Berber camp was quite nice, too: just a simple Tajine with potatoes, carrots and meat, but very tasty for some reason. Overall, the impression about the Berber camp was quite positive, until we were delivered to our minibus and berbers started asking for money. They won’t leave you alone until you give them some or if you give just a couple of euros, which is apparently nothing.
Everyone during this trip is asking to pay for everything, so we don’t really know what we paid for to the tour provider. It’s too much as just for the bus ride to Zagora and back.
On our way back we also stopped at Ksar Aït Benhaddo, which is old village where some movies were filmed. The place was quite interesting, but here we also had a “guide”, who said like three sentences about the village and then just lead us to the top of the village. Of course, he asked us to pay for the entrance to the village (which is actually free) and for some tips for him for the “tour” (we could’ve perfectly found our way through the village ourselves). Then, he lead us to his restaurant, which, from his words, is “the cheapest place in the village”. It costed like 12 euros for one small dish. As we’ve seen better places even next to the Ksar, we decided to look around and had a nice lunch 200 meters away for like 8 euros for two people.
In general, people in Morocco left very bad impression. They smile at you, but all they want is to get as much money from you as possible, so they are simple lying to your face, thinking that if you live in Europe, you don’t work or anything, someone just brings you huge bags with money while you’re taking champagne bath and eating kaviar.

I really wanted to give this trip 5 stars but after my recent dilemna with them I had to reduce it to 2. The overall trip was really good. Life changing experience. But the entire package of a program is not only the trip but the customer service as well. Booking the trip was no problem, they were very responsive. My friend and I paid extra for a few "add ons" including sandboarding. Once on the trip due to timing, our group did not get to go sandboarding which I understand. Now here's the problem.... the process of getting our refund.

After the trip I sent about 2-4 emails regarding our situation, no response. After expressing my utter disappointment at the lack of response regarding this matter, they responded that they will get my refund as soon as the manager came back from the "business trip".... that response was almost a month ago. I have sent 2-3 follow up emails since but they have been completely mute.

I would advice to book with another desert trip as there are plenty I'm sure will offer greater customer service than this one

Great experience into the Sahara Desert. However riding camel is not as fun as you would imagine. You have to hang on tight, otherwise you will be thrown off especially when the camel going down the sand dunes
