Visited as part of our cruise
Was hot with little shade but not be crowds given the time of year. Enjoyed expected the people inside hassling to take photos for money! Very annoying here

From the first moment I sighted the temple from the road in, I was just amazed at the sheer grandeur of the setting.
Unlike the tombs in The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple lies above ground and just commands you to look at it.
The setting of The Temple with the magnificent high cliffs backdrop is one of the most awesome things I have seen...it literally took my breath away.
Situated fairly close to the city of Luxor, it was my highlight of all the magnificent sites in the Luxor area.

The temple is very large and to get there you need to take a nice walk under the sun. There are not many things to see in this temple and also it is super crowded.
Obviously it is an obligatory stop that must be done when you are in Egypt but in my opinion it is not among the "unmissable" temples. Very nice to see it from above from the hot air balloon, there are countless hot air balloon tours that leave just a few km from the temple.

Considered the "wonder of wonders", the Temple of Hatshepsut is located near the Valley of the Kings. The temple is well preserved, everything is very organized, with access via carts and entry costs 360 LE (12 dollars). Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and take a bottle of water, as it is very hot even in February when I went.

To be honest, I love this queen so much, I used to tell my guests that she suffered in the beginning a lot but at the end she did exactly what she wanted, I’m so proud of Queen Hatshepsut, one day one of her granddaughters will rule Egypt

This temple is really beautiful because of its location and design that contrasts with the rest of what you see of Egyptian history. They offer electric carts to take you from the entrance but the distance is not that great.

Although history tells that a pharaoh wanted to destroy it completely, he could not do it, the construction is immense, extremely grandiose, worthy of admiration, although it is largely destroyed it is still impressive, a must-see in Luxor.

The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut built in a massive rock. Breathtaking space with a wonderful view of the Nile Valley. Beautiful place.

I loved this Temple for its sheer size, fact that it was cut in the mountain, and is exclusively dedicated to the only female Pharaoh. I enjoyed learning about this history, Hatchepsut herself, and the relationship to Karnak Temple. It was hot and sunny there so be prepared. There are also a large number of stairs. I recommend hiring and bringing your own guide.

Temple of Hatshepsut was amazing, it is huge, however by this point in the day we had been awake for 7 hours without breakfast or lunch in the midday sun, and Kira was exhausted.

Tickets were 160 EGP per person, 80 for students (6-17 year-olds), and free for 5 and under.

You will need a few hours to explore this Temple of Hatshepsut. We were told that Aswan was also a mining city, we found that Cairo was extremely friendly to children, Aswan as well, but not so much, Luxor however, we found it very tip heavy, this was explained to us that they are only a tourist destination and were hit hard during the pandemic. Almost everywhere we stepped a guard was pushing to take a photo of us to get a tip, or encouraging Kira to go across the line (where tourists were not meant to go), for a photo and then a tip. Luckily Kira was tired and was sticking to us like glue.

The temple itself was amazing so I do not devalue my review, but it was stressful.

The temple was filled with information about Hatshepsut she came to reign and sheltered her image in the temple to be more masculine.
