As you get closer to Taif you begin the journey up the winding road climbing Al Hada Mountain. The road is amazing and well kept.
There aren’t stopping points at the side of the road but once you reach the top of you then travel back the other way for a short distance you will discover the most magnificent viewpoint and picnic spot.
It is an amazing viewpoint, providing the weather is good and is also a great spot for watching the sunset. Part of the view looks back towards Mecca.
This viewpoint has plenty of free parking and to secure the best views there is some clambering over stones and the remnants of old buildings, so it perhaps wouldn’t be suitable for everyone.

Al Hada is the first place you'll arrive if you are driving from Jeddah to Taif.
The place is surrounded by mountains covered in clouds most of the time. There's a cable car service connecting the lowlands to the peak. I am sure it is a joy for thrillseekers.
There's a fruit market on the way down where one can stock up on fruits and vegetables before returning to Jeddah. Unfortunately the only produce that I can confirm to be locally grown are corns, flower plants and cactus fruits. Others look the same as ones you can get in Jeddah, maybe even cheaper.
Not far further down the hill is where colonies of baboons live. Many cars actually stopped to take pictures or feed them.

Çok fazla görülecek bir şey yok. Teleferik 84 SAR. Sadece kayalıklara ve maymunlar dikkat çekici. Hava çok güzel. Esintili.

Going on and on to a winding road, made beautifully and very wide but mountains were bare, grass less and rocky, saw no one around. No change in scenery, no picnic spots, telefric was seen but we didn’t try it as it seemed to go no where, some monkeys on the little wall along a portion of the road, didn’t impress and actually was a bit scary as there was no one around.
Taif is in the mid of Al hada and As shafa mountains which are around. 20-30 minutes apart, we found As Shafa to have much more variation and greenery. Must see both.
