Educational place perfect for children and those who love to gain more knowledge about the natural history of the Philippines. You can find the largest crocodile found in the country, called Lolong. The architecture of the place is also one of the reasons why a lot of people are visiting this museum. The modern elevator attracts the attention of the visitors.

Not a bad place to visit if you have spare time. Entry is free and main highlight is Lolong, the big crocodile on the top floor. Other than that the information regarding the Philippines’ geography and ecosystem is interesting, but stuff which is quite common knowledge generally too. For some reason people here insist on taking tons of photos and do loads of different poses for their social media, and it’s extremely draining to see. I mean come on, it’s a museum. All in all not a bad trip but not essential to visit here by any means.

A great place to spend your weekend to learn new things about our natural history. The place is well-maintained, clean, and organized. The colletion is pretty decent although could be further improved by having more items on exhibit. The place was really good and comparable to museums abroad. A must visit for people of all ages.

The great tree like tower inside the museum is a photogenic place and very beautiful. The entry is free but you have to leave your big bags in the lock room and its safe. Great to know about the history of Philippines.

I was genuinely impressed with this museum. The exhibits were quite interesting, and they give a very good understanding of the flora and fauna of the Philippines. It is very easy to spend 1-2 hours here checking out everything.

Interesting internal architecture coupled with some interesting exhibits (say hello to the big Croc, you will know him when you see him) showing a wide variety of subjects. There is a lot to cover, not as much as the (main) National Museum, but something for everyone I would have thought. A good concentration on exhibits on creatures of the ocean.

Today was a fabulous day for me because I went on a tour of the National Museum of Natural History virtually. There are many segments to visit. For someone who is interested in the history of the earth, they will want to visit Deep Time. If someone is interested in sea-life, they will want to visit the Sant Ocean Hall and so on. But I like to visit the Objects of Wonder.

The name ‘The Objects of Wonder' attracted me to visit. It is an initiative started by the National Museum of Natural History to preserve the natural specimens and cultural artifacts for the future generation. The collections hail from all over the world with different routes: primarily from scientific assignment, some from private collectors and some from law enforcement agencies. These objects are treated as the Hart and Soul of the museum. There were a lot of objects which represent the different cultures of the different countries. Which helped me to understand the different civilizations.

There are so many interesting things showcased here that blew my mind.

We all ignore insects daily. But insects make up over two third of all described species of animals. And there are many more species still waiting to be discovered. There are about 500 specimens of insect species showcased here, which represent millions of insect species. So far, there are 5 million insect species known on the Earth.

The second thing is, the two fossils of the thigh bone. One belongs to the Earth's largest animal, which belongs to a dinosaur family, and the other belongs to the hummingbird (the smallest bird of the Earth). The size ratio of both the bones is 180:1. The interesting facts about these bones is they are closely related to each other. How amazing?

This tour was exceptional for me. It's very insightful for me. Thanks to the technology, who gave us the opportunity to visit virtually. Every student must have to take at least a virtual tour of this museum.

The National Museum of Natural History
Just reopened to public sometime in 2018, and i just had an opportunity to visit earlier this 2020.
They had reopened, and its really worth the visit.
Ive been to national musuem when i was in gradeschool and lets say thats about 30 yrs ago.
It was new look now plus the skeleton of lolong which is the longest crocodile in phils.
The museum looks moders now.
But still the history is there.
Every corner of every floor have its own story and history.
Its worth the visit though i loved the fine arts more than the national history. Just my opinion..
Free of entrance
8 to 4 pm admission if am not mistaken.
