A beautiful beach at the north-western end of Mumbai. There aren't as many food stalls as at Juhu Beach.
The location is great because you can get there easily by metro.
The shops between the metro station and the beach are also worth a look. The area is a little richer and more sophisticated.

Had been to Versova recently.
It is an amazing place with all the nature vibes. You can sit there and watch people enjoying the weekend. After covid there are many groups in Mumbai who have taken initiative to clean the beaches of Mumbai. Due to which most of all the beaches are clean.
There were people walking their pets and playing with their children. I loved this place however it is bit far from my place i cannot visit everyday. I am certain that i will pay my visit once in a month to enjoy the vibes.

Versova jetty. Andheri. Mumbai.
One of the oldest and may be the smallest distance Creek for any jetty.
Wondered how on earth this small patch cannot be built ever by any authority ?
So many econoMic calculations ran through my mind about vested interests.
Fish remains the point of connect between Mumbai and Versova as the major supplier of fish which happens to be a major part of food of this great city.
Dirt, filth, smell, mud remains as the thing which prohibits ones interest to visit again

Sitting on a rock letting the sun's warmth imprint its tan is on myself, I opened my sketchbook. With little kids playing in the sea with Frisbee and balls, one tends to go back to their childhood and experience all that makes the kids squeal and giggle. With the vendors selling Chana-Jor-Garam, Bhel, Pani-Puri, Peanuts, Cutting-Chai and sometimes the seasonal fruits, you can keep munching on to the tune of the sea waves washing by and chitter-chatter of the people around. The hustle-bustle will not hinder the peace seeping in you. Neglect the dirt. If bothered by it, take a step forward and pick up all the garbage you can and dispose it off. Let the happy vibe flow through. :)

Kudos to people who cleaned the beach.
Beach was clean. When you enter the beach you will find people having liquor in open area. Don't go with children's if you are planning. I suggest not to go.

Good clean beach thanks to the cleaning efforts. Best time to visit during low tide. Take a metro ride to Versova station and then walk for 15 mins to make the entry via picnic cottage .

This beach is close to seven bungalows garden, not very clean even though there is no food stalls. It can be improved if people stop eating their waste into the water

It's filthy. Apparently it was cleaned but that didn't last very long. Don't know what; I was thinking going to a beach in India!

It’s a silent beach..still untouched by the tourist. The beach is occupied by the Mandavas (fish drying areas ) and is busy with day to day fishing activities.

I dont think there is a "closing time" to the beach but its avoidable since it maybe quite dark and if you tend to have an accident nobody may spot you in the darkness...... also some miscreants may take advantage of the loneliness there......
