We travel the West coast tasting wine. Friends in Paso and Cambria had suggested we check out Tin City. Our experience at LEVO was less than exemplary. We entered an empty tasting room and it took several minutes for someone to notice us as there was a large party in the inner room. Once acknowledged by the winemaker we finally received our first taste. We were then handed off to a woman who explained to us that their wine club received all the good wines and tasting room offerings were secondary or experimental in many cases. At the conclusion of the tasting we purchased one bottle of wine at $60 and then were hit with another $30 tasting fee. Policy is three bottles purchased in order to waive one tasting fee. Our conclusion is represented in the title. BTW, I was the individual who retrieved your phone that was outside baking in the sun.

Traveler, thanks for coming to check us out. We apologize for the delay when you first arrived. Your description of your experience is not something we hear from the many patrons we host in our tasting rooms. Our prices are clearly stated on our menus, and we work to ensure all our guests are aware of our processes. We appreciate you retrieving our phone and hope you enjoy the bottle you purchased.

We had such a wonderful time at Levo! The wines are fantastic, in fact so wonderful that both my friend and I joined the wine club! The tasting room is fantastic. We met the winemaker who is so humble and personable and the tasting room manager was incredible and knowledgeable. Our experience was fantastic and we will come back each time we are in Tin City!

Don't miss Levo if you're visiting Tin City. Lizz was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable. Labels are truly a work of art. Ask to taste the Chardonnay if not on their tasting menu. Being very Covid conscious, all wines are prepoured.

We stopped in, excited to try some wines here.
We have been going to Paso, wine tasting for years, but have not ever been to Tin City. We read the reviews and were looking forward to a nice visit. Well...
Okay, so first and foremost, this is not Napa! Please have your pourers smile and not act like they have more important things to do when customers come in.
We went up to the counter, the girl looked at us, no “Hi, Welcome, or anything”. She placed two glasses on the counter and when I said that we were sharing a taste, she sighed and put the other glass back.
I mentioned that we just wanted to try the reds. Again with the eye roll. My husband stayed and I went to talk to a couple that was sitting on the couch with their dog.
When I returned, my husband had me try some wine that was in his glass. I tried it, he said he wanted to buy a bottle. Okay, not a problem at all.
We asked for a bottle. As she turned to get it. I asked if I could try try the Chardonnay after all. She grabbed a clean glass and poured me a small taste. I tried it, it was not something that I like and dumped most of it.
Then she brought the bottle we were buying, took my card, put the receipt for me to sign and said, “I removed a charge for one of the tastings”.
Um, okay, we only had one tasting.
As I signed the slip, there was a charge for $70ish (I can’t remember the exact amount).
As we left, I asked how much the bottle was...hubby stated that it was $49. So we had just paid over $70 for a $49 bottle of wine!
Apparently, since I asked for a taste of the Chardonnay AFTER hubby had tasted the reds, (the Chardonnay was part of the flight but we skipped it in the beginning) she felt that it was a separate tasting fee and was doing us a favor by removing one tasting fee for buying a bottle!
There are way better places to go, with smiling employees, to get a nice bottle of wine. Skip this place and just grab lunch in Tin City!

Catherine, thank you for reaching out and letting us know about your experience in our tasting room. What you described doesn't sound at all like the experience we work with our teams to provide on a daily basis and we want to look into this right away. We need a few more details from you to do so. Please email us at info@levowine.com with your contact information and we will be in touch directly.

If you are in Paso Robles or more specifically Tin City a must stop is Levo. Wines are amazing, art on the walls and bottles are thought provoking and the vibe is super cool. My favorites are the Rosé and the Chardonnay. A must visit when in Paso.

We discovered Levo a few years back when our daughter was hunting for new places to try. Brett is a very talented young (in his 20's) winemaker who is doing a great job.
The tasting room is light and comfortable.
Take time to check out what Brett and Levo have to offer.

This Tin City winery has some beautiful stuff; and by stuff I mean WINE! The winemaker is in his mid-twenties learned wine making in Portugal and sources most of his grapes from Santa Ynez Valley: and is as skilled as any boutique winemaker in the Central Coast. Playing with the fermentation process using new and used oak to masterfully blend it's hard to decide which you prefer.
I ended up purchasing the Rose which is a Grenache Rose; bolended with Cinsault and Marsanne. The website says Grenache, Mouved, and Cinsault, but the label says the aforementioned. The young lady pouring the wine was so polite and helpful sharing much info about the wine itself and the grapes. Also we purchased a bottle of the Flxwers Grenach which is 79% Grenache blended with Syrah and Petite Syrah.
We will definitely be back!

Thanks to a recommendation from a neighboring tasting room, we checked out this recent add to the ever-growing Tin City. Being a big fan of Nicora, Onx and Desparada I was counting on Levo to be as good. No worries! It certainly is. Bret, the owner/winemaker is a super friendly guy, his colleague Raleigh is a charmer, and the whole scene of friends, etc. is chill and welcoming. But it's the outstanding wines that will bring us back. My faves were: WHITE NOISE, EMBER RED and the amazing 2014 SPOT WHITE HAWK SYRAH.
