We’ve gone to concerts here for the last 20 yrs and aren’t going anymore. Can’t take it. Now where to start. You enter at what looks like a small rear door. The lobby has a HUGE staircase that takes up most of the space and is hardly used. The bar area is smallish and only has a handful of seats. Only 1 ladies room and men’s room on the first floor, usually crowded. Getting to your seat is very confusing. There’s a very small elevator that takes you up to the balcony, but you still have to walk down a flight of stairs to get to your seat?? No matter where you sit you have to either walk up or down stairs to get there. It’s very confusing. Then there’s outside. The lighting is very bad. We parked in a handicap lot that was not lit at all. We complained but nothing was changed. Parking in the lot across the street is a nightmare to get out of after a concert. It takes a good 15-30 min to get out. We love the Orlando Phil. but until they move out of Bob Carr we will not be attending. Seriously, my high school auditorium was 100 times better than this place. And the new Dr Phillips Center is amazing. The elevator actually takes you to the floor your seat is on!! No walking up and down stairs.

First time at this venue. The lines for beverages are crazy long! On the other side of that, the line for the Ladiea room is pretty short with the attendant keeping things clean. You can take beverages into your seats however, there are no cup holders. Seems like that would be a great addition and better thtan using the floor. The sound tech this past Saturday seemed to not be able to eliminate the echo a big deal during a monologue!

Attended a show for the first time at this venue. Wow....very poorly designed. Too many shortcomings to detail but this place is not efficient for maneuvering in/out and event getting to seating. Oh well! We can understand poor design but many in the audience noticed that it was very warm in theater. That's a bad one. Seats were comfortable and stage view was fine. Seems like the Architect put thinking into a nice exterior facade but forgot about too many things on the inside.

Went to see the Simon and Garfunkel Story. The show was great. The theater: not so much. Starting with security. The screener wanted to look into my wallet, which was obviously simply a wallet. The person wanding me completely missed a Leatherman tool I had in my pocket--I was not trying to sneak it in, I had simply forgotten to take it out of my pocket. If that large amount of metal gets in, what else are they missing and what is the point of security? Guests have to go upstairs in order to go downstairs to the front of the venue. The number of restrooms is WAY too low for the number of guests.

We went to a performance of the Orlando Philharmonic yesterday- our first visit to the Bob Carr Theatre- and were amazed at how poorly it had been designed. It is one giant room with seating from wall to wall with no center aisle and no aisle across the theatre. There are hundreds of steps to get anywhere- no ramps or accommodations for wheelchairs, walkers and people who have difficulty walking. It must have been built before ADA was enacted, because it does not provide for disabilities. I had to take my wife to a separate wheelchair entrance, and there one one tiny bathroom there with a long line of people waiting for it. Our seats were on the opposite side of the theatre, and it was difficult to get across the theatre through one of the narrow rows. Once seated, the acoustics were really good and we could hear the orchestra quite well, but trying to go to the bathroom at half time, or to get a drink at the soda fountain involved a lot of steps and was quite difficult. Don't think we'll return to Bob Carr theatre again.

The parking was ok, and not a long walk, though not all elevators were functioning. Bizarre configuration of steps and landings. Scarce, difficult to reach restrooms, with only a few stalls each. Lots of lines. And OMG the heat! Nearly everyone in the theater was fanning themselves..... for the entire 3 hour show. I kept thinking it would eventually cool off, but it never did. It really caused us to not enjoy the show. I saw some people with drinks, but never saw a place to purchase refreshments. So 3 hours, in the heat, with nothing to drink. I absolutely will never go back. It was miserable!

We attended this month 25th anniversary concert featuring Yo-Yo Ma and Colin Jacobsen at this theater. Wonderful experience. Good parking space. Good que management and reaching the seat. Liked the theater and the show.

The new Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center now takes center stage for ballet, concerts, traveling shows and other performances. The Bob Carr is identified as a "satellite" of the Dr. Phillips Center. And frankly, I'd think twice about coming here to see a show (as we recently did). Besides badly needing renovations, it could be a dangerous venue in the event of an emergency. There are many steps up into the venue, then many steps down to your particular row. If an emergency occurred, I shudder at the ability to exit all patrons easily and quickly. I'll stick with the other better venues in town.

The Beatles concert had us dancing in and out of our seats. It was a really fun night. The music was well done and it was a treat to have the philharmonic backing up Beatles music. WOW!! The conductor was so enthusiastic. It had to be fun for the musicians. Bonus: You can pay for parking with a credit card, what a treat who carries cash anymore! The bathroom situation is not the best, need to fix the upstairs water pressure.

Went to see Chicago in October 2017, the concert was excellent!... as was the venue.
Parking is available for $10 in a couple of adjoining lots, both right next to the Centre and within easy walking distance. Signs could be a bit more helpful for visitors unfamiliar to the area.
The venue itself is wonderful, varied refreshments are available pre-event including excellent espresso coffee. Restrooms are fine.
Acoustics are great, and seating is very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
