Favorite flea market in the region. We visit at least monthly. And we usually find items we "can't live without" (our decision-making question). Interesting mix of knick knacks, clothing, toys, tools, antiques, jewelry, dvds/albums, cookware, furniture, and appliances. We've found great deals on patio furnishings, air fryer, grills, books, etc. Always treated kindly and staff are helpful. Wear comfy shoes - it fills an old KMart building.

I was just there place is FULL of good stuff,it's worth to LOOK! I've found many good items. Some over priced. Takes awhile to go threw with it so full take your time.

I was there before Christmas this last yr - the place had really improved- it had gone downhill for a while - I was truly impressed spent about 4 hrs in there so much to see !

The manager is very rude and has a bad attitude.I have been coming here for years and have never been treated so rudely in my life.They say very rude comments and do not care about there customers. Its like they could care less if you shop there or not.My friend had the police called on him because he said he did not like there customer service. Beware this place has gone downhill.A lot of vendors have left this place also.I have shopped a lot of places and have never had this happen to me.I am still in shock from the treatment i recieved people need to be aware that these people are running this place.

I live about 50 miles away from Martinsville, but when I'm traveling that way I always stop In. A lot of times when I go there I am looking for something and 80% of the time I find It at a decent price and good shape. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SERVICE.

I have been going to Traderbakers for many years, and when I last was there this past summer of 2021, it was still wonderful. Lots of wonderful booths with vintage/antique items. So just went there again this past weekend (November 6, 2021) and the entire place has changed into a crappy Chinese merchandise market, with no vintage/antique booths to be found. What has happened to all the lovely booths with vintage/antique items? Why the change since this past Summer? I will not be going back and am very, very, very disappointed into what it's been turned into. Very sad.

I've never in my life been treated so poorly by someone in customer service. Debbie the store manager was extremely rude and mean in how she treated me and her attitude towards me. I carried my sleeping 2-year-old inside the store. We had driven 1 hour to purchase a specific item. I selected the item that I wanted to purchase and walked back up to the front desk to ask if they could help me reach the item as it was in the back of the booth. She asked me twice if I could read, and both times I answered her yes I was able and capable of reading. Apparently there was a sign on the outside of the store that said bring helpers to move and load furniture. I first off did not see the sign upon walking in because I wasn't looking. Second off I wasn't asking to move or load furniture. I was simply asking for assistance in grabbing an item to which I would carry it up to the front of the store. She explained that it's liability that they're unable to help. I completely understand that but the way it was presented was unacceptable. I explained that I completely understood but again, that I just needed help reaching an item as I have a sleeping 2-year-old in my arms but that I was more than happy to carry that item to the front of the store to purchase. I was yelled and screamed at. She told me she just had stomach surgery and was not helping me. I can only told her I wasn't expecting her to help me but there's multiple other employees that I feel like could hand me an item from the back of the booth. I was literally shaking out of pure shock of how I was being treated. I will never return to this store. This is completely unacceptable for any employee especially a store manager to treat a customer. I remained calm, and had I not have driven one hour to purchase the specific item for my husband for our anniversary which was the day I was visiting I would have walked out of that store and never returned. This is a short version of how this experience went. Hopefully it's enough to warn other shoppers and customers. Its very unfortunate for the vendors that someone this hateful is the face of the store. I have a sneaky suspicion that this is not the first time Debbie has lashed out at other customers. I think maybe Debbie needs to find a job that's not in customer service. I genuinely hope that the owners of this establishment are aware of Debbie's demeanor and treatment of customers. As for me, there's plenty of other flea markets and antique shops with grateful, or at a very minimum friendly places to visit. I will definitely not return. I am posting a picture of the signs out front regarding loading and moving furniture.

We use to shop Trader Baker in Martinsville but we stopped! The store is dirty, many empty booths, we had a friend that recently shopped there and found bed bugs. She notified the employees and she said they didn’t seem to care. This hasn’t been the only time I’ve heard of them having them. I’m sure the flea market is infested with them! 😳

There is some good deals to be had there. Slow and look hard. There is isle after isle of almost anything you could imagine. It does however take some time to check out of this place due to shopping carts full of merchandise at checkout!

You should probably allow for a lot of time and a lot of patience when visiting. This place is absolutely enormous! There's SO much to look at; I'm not sure it's possible to see the great variety if goods it in one visit.

I do not have a booth at Trader Bakers. You might call them and see if anyone is looking for barbies or if anyone considers buying items like that for their booth. You could even rent a space for a month or so and sell them yourself.
