The puzzles to figure out the locked boxes were fun, but the room was very small and didn’t have much atmosphere. The ceiling also didn’t go all the way to the top ( like a big cubicle)
) which took away from the “escape room” vibe. The staff had a lot of enthusiasm.

The staff is fine but the room itself, Hollywood, is very lame. It's just a small, almost bare white room with 3 steamer trunks in them. Lots of "clues" were red herrings and useless but difficult to tell the real clues from the fake ones. Even the real clues didn't make any sense. We did not enjoy it. No story behind it. It was just opening locks with no creativity and very little effort put into setting up a fun experience. We've been to great escape rooms but this one fell flat.

This was our 19th Escape Room,and we enjoyed it as much as the first one! What a great way to spend quality time with the grandchildren!

I played Hollywood and it was fun. The staff was very helpful too! Overall I had a nice time and will be going again in the future!

Friends told me not to waste my time but there are so few escape rooms in western mass and i thought it can't be that bad, welllllll..... Unimaginative, little creativity, poor set dressing, weak story, small space, basic puzzles. It's a generic national escape room chain. Spend an extra five dollars and go to the one in Easthampton or the new one downtown Springfield for authentic storytelling and creative puzzle solving. I love escape rooms but won't do their other rooms because the quality is so bad.

I am very sorry I dragged two of my friends to this, but glad we tried it before our department followed my suggestion that we host an event there. There were no puzzles, no puzzle games, and no cleverly hidden clues - only task after task that required combing through thousands of lines of small print affixed to a wall in an inadequately lit room, looking for certain words and numbers. No "aha!" moments and no fun. If I hadn't been the one to drag everybody, I would have left in the first five minutes and just kissed my hard-earned, wasted $20 goodbye.
I did express dismay upon entering the room to see the wall covered in small print. The guide claimed it "might" not have been necessary to read it all if we were good about interpreting the clues that pointed us to the wall. But none of us trusted the "might" and we all forced ourselves to slog through it.
Here's the "but"... two stars instead of one, because while we were waiting to go in, we saw people leaving other rooms which had different scenarios, who clearly did have fun. And there was a birthday party room, and the teenagers who were in there had clearly enjoyed themselves.
So - my suggestions - if you go, ask a lot of questions first. Maybe there are rooms with clever puzzles and fun things to find and put together. If you're over 40, don't do the Escape from Alcatraz room unless you have excellent vision. Don't, for heaven's sake, invite colleagues unless you try it first.
