This animal lover loved her visit! Sweet and even a little curious/affectionate - loved that we were encouraged to hold them. Wish the barn had a spot to sit (but then I guess the goats would sit there too and there goes a clean spot) Glad to have arrived before a tour - that made it crowded pretty quick. Interesting products. Property a little rough; lovely owners

The goats were very cute and the staff was friendly. We had a great time and loved meeting the adorable goats. We bought some soap and even tasted goat milk ice cream, which was excellent.

These goats were so incredibly fascinating! We had a lovely visit and even got to hold some kids! The folks raising these animals were very friendly and knowledgeable. The ice cream was delicious! I learned a lot and recommend this experience!

This was absolutely adorable, we spent about an hour petting goats and playing with the babies. The goats are obviously well cared for and the staff was super nice. There is a small fee (I do not understand why a reviewer thinks they should not charge a fee??) and a small gift shop. It was well worth the drive out to see them and we count it as one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland.

Jóhanna was so welcoming. We did not have a reservation but were able to join a tour. She was responsible for saving the goat population in Iceland. We cannot believe she has named her over 200 goats and knows them all. Thank you so much for hospitality.

Located North of Reykjavik and a bit off the beaten path - this wonderful little Farm experience and Store was the highlight of my trip into the west of Iceland. There's small fee to enter the paddock & there are many little goat kids to get up close and snuggle with. After you are finished cuddling and taking pictures, you can visit the Farm store with plenty of goat themed items, soaps, homemade cheese, and snacks. There are also clean bathroom facilities. 100% recommend.

So much fun! Goats were playful. Cheese / sausage / ice cream were delicious. Lots of options for gifts.

It was very fun to hang out in the pasture and pet the goats. And when you were done in the pasture, you can go into the shop for cheese, ice cream, and skin products. Amazing place!

We were really looking forward to the goat farm as big animal lovers. You do have to go out of your way along a gravel road. Once we arrived, we found the people to be helpful and we had a nice chat while visiting the goats in the field. We held the orphan babies and got some nice photos. The grass was very wet so wear appropriate shoes. They also have a nice hand washing station. We all ended up buying things from the small shop and the cheese was a big hit with some of my party (it was in sealed jars so you could take home). The also had a very unique array of floral jellys...a big variety..and lots of different soap scents.

We visited this farm eight years ago. A lot has changed as they now charge 1500 ISK per person (around 11€) just to simply look into some stable and pet some goats. Which in my opinion was quiet a lot for 'the experience' (especially the fact this was not mentioned before entering the farm made it feel not right) The people are very friendly though and the shop is quiet lovely, but also expensive. Not worth the detour and the money in my opinion :)

I have seen two very different comments about entry costs : one suggests 1500 Kr the other a nominal fee. can any one tell me the entry price for an adult and two 10 year olds?

Hello Simon.
The fee is 1500 for adults and 750 for 7-17 years. Free for younger and never paid for mor than 2 kids in a family. Most people is satisfied vith this cose includet is guided tour to the goats and education about the story of the icelandic goats and what we are doing at the farm. Coffe/te and taste of the products we sell. You can stay with the goat as long as you like and they are very friendly.
If more questions just feel free to ask. Greetings Jóhanna
