Attended the Merry Widow and the house was full. Still, I felt we were pretty comfortable and we were parked fairly close which made the walk in winter not so bad. Maybe the one downside I remember was that there was some problems with some of the restroom doors and people had friends holding the doors closed and the line was long. All in all, since we were pretty far back, but could still see and hear the show, I felt the theatre good for viewing a show.

The Lincoln Theatre is a beautifully historic theatre. The décor is Egyptian and is very unique. It is a smaller theatre, so every seat is good to see the stage. Theatre staff are very helpful and friendly. It is always clean. The restrooms are large and have enter/ exit doors so the flow of people in the restroom/ using the facility is smooth and quick. There is easy parking across the street and a crosswalk for safety.
I saw the Bubble Show here, which is a child’s version of Cirque Du Soleil mixed with magic tricks, bubbles, and comedy. The performers are amazing, and I love the interaction they have with the crowd. There are several times that the performers are engaged with the children which enhances the experience greatly.

This is a Grand Olde Theatre. I have worked in many theatres in my time and this one is one of the best. The house crew was a joy to work with. Jim the tech Manager is an awesome guy to work with. We had a great show. Thank you to the staff at Lincoln Theatre for a great show. I hope to return again soon

Finally had an opportunity to attend a concert here. Our comfortable seats were center orchestra about 14 rows from the stage with great sight lines and perfect sound/acoustics. There didn't really seem to be any bad seats in the house. Because the seating is under 600 the theatre has a more intimate feel than other Columbus historic theaters.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places the Lincoln (originally called the Ogden until 1939) opened in 1928 as a film, vaudeville, small group performance venue and was in use until the early 1970s. Following restoration it was reopened in 2009. The restoration is a tasteful blend of contemporary audience and performance demands while maintaining the "Egyptian Revival" elements from the original theater. It is owned by the city and managed by CAPA (Columbus Association for the Performing Arts).
Easily accessible from downtown and the freeway with a couple of close free parking options. There are currently really no pre or post performance restaurants/bars nearby. Note the entrance is just west of the original marquee.
Looking forward to another concert here soon.

I love the Lincoln Theatre and it is one of my favorite theaters in Columbus. It is located downtown and there is plenty of free parking at the church right down the street from the theatre. It is smaller than many of the other theaters like the Ohio, Palace, Davidson, and Southern Theatres but there's not a bad seat in the house and they get many great acts (both local and touring) here. I am an usher so have seen many shows here and the interior is lovely with an Egyptian pattern and the sound is always good. If you are looking for a unique theater and more intimate show experience, this is the place and the staff is also very friendly.

My boyfriend & I went to the Lincoln to go see Henry Rollins. A rather fancy place for a former punk to do his spoken word, but still very nice & civilized crowd. Had a great time although it sucked mot being able to go to our seats when allowed into the theater. For some reason we had to wait another 15 minutes to be able to go to our seats in the theater.

Delightful little theatre. Renovations have been thoughtfully done to preserve the history and uniqueness of this theatre. Easy to purchase tickets for a variety of shows, although be aware the stage is raised, so viewing is actually a little better if you are about 4 rows back....those in the front row seats will look up a little the whole show. Not a bad seat in the house. Staff is friendly, lobby is small but perfectly adequate with a nice concession stand; you can take your drink into the theatre which is nice. Parking is great...there's a lot right next door to the theatre and another one across the street, and it's FREE. Go, support this little gem and the urban renewal underway in that area of Columbus.

Can someone recommend good hotels nearby? Thanks

I would suspect at least 30 minutes prior to your show time. Would probably call to be sure. When I attend events here I try to arrive about a half hour ahead to park and comfortably walk to the theatre.
