This hike is moderate, only because of the elevation change and some slippery spots. It took us (early 30’s, moderately active) 2 hours to complete all the trails. The rock bridge is cool, but in August it’s mostly dry. The rock shelter loop trail was rather underwhelming, so if you do go to the bridge, it’s ok to just head back. Overall, it’s a long hike that’s not completely boring but may not be worth your time.

Small parking lot, does not hold many cars. Due to not much rain and the high heat there was not much water to create any type of falls. The hike back to the bridge is not far. Lots of roots, be careful you don't trip.

As someone who loves hiking and adventure, I hate to say that a hike is not worth the effort. But unfortunately this one is just that. We hiked every hike that was recommended in the Hocking Hills area and this was the only one we wished we had skipped.

We made sure to get here first thing in the morning before it got too warm, and we were the only ones there. There weren't any more visitors when we were done either. The parking area holds about 10 cars. This is probably not visited as much as other parks in the area, but we were glad we took the hike. As with most trails in the area, lots of roots, so really have to watch your step. Very nice trail - a bit of up and down, but a nice hike. We saw a pileated woodpecker, but to my husband's dismay, it always stayed out of camera range. (Rude!) Was interesting to see the bridge and when going underneath, there was a small waterfall. We also took the path down to the river. The wild flowers were just starting to bloom, and it should be really pretty when they are all in bloom.

Very quiet, pretty trail! It has a lot of up and down, so a bit challenging. About 2 miles long. I would definitely recommend it as a addition to Hocking Hills trails. Not a lot of parking but not as busy either.

Cool attraction that not too many know about or take advantage of. I recommend checking it out if you’re kayaking on the hocking river! It’s a easy little walk to it from the sandbar!

This was such a fun trail. It was a good hike, the rock bridge and waterfall was fun to see and there were lots of birds to photograph right at the beginning of the trail. The trail isn't hard but we went in December and the temperature shot up the day we went so a lot of snow and ice melted and made the trek a muddy mess and a bit more work than it would have been otherwise. Glad we went. We're bird watchers and we were able to photograph four new species of birds for us.

The rock bridge itself is pretty amazing. The path to and from has some pretty steep inclines so my calves were screaming at me for days. The path is also not well marked at the bridge itself. You get there and don’t know if you go further or turn around. You turn around. There’s a fork in the path in the first third. Take the left path down. When you leave the bridge, there’s another fork and I suggest taking the left path back. It’s a very steep uphill path but better going up that taking it down. Really study the trail map at the trailhead and this should all make better sense.

We were challenged on the hike, but we met interesting people along the journey. This was the best hike because it was long, gorgeous, and made you keep moving to go downward and upward for more adventure and amazing sights to see. Definitely worth the time with breathtaking waterfalls, caves, and cliffs. Dive in and just do it!

This trail has inclines, it got our heart rates up but it's not difficult. The view of the waterfall and rock bridge are beautiful. We passed by other people on the trail, however it wasn't crowded.

Addl: The bridge area is small but impressive, similar to Old Mans cave. It was dry, and most of the leaves are off the trees now. No water was coming off the bridge. Guess it’s better to go after a good rain to see the waterfall, since it doesn’t flow all the time. The trail itself wasn’t very interesting, you have to constantly watch your step. Looking around could easily cause a twisted ankle. So if you go it’s mostly just to see the bridge.

Is any part of this trail accessible for wheelchairs?
Rédigé le 9 mai 2019
Definitely not a trail for wheelchairs. Lots of tree roots to go over. Moderate difficulty even though it is a shorter trail at 1.8 miles total round trip from the parking lot to the natural bridge and back. I wouldn’t even attempt a bicycle if they allowed it. One small hill, and one larger hill filled with tree roots, a couple of handmade wooden benches to sit on along the way. A few flat sections without roots, but most of the hills were covered by tree roots. Caution advised. It was very dry there and no water was flowing. Probably best if you go after a good rain to see the water flowing off the bridge. The trail is not that impressive, but the area where the bridge is wasn’t bad. Although a small area, its formation is nice. Very similar to Old Man’s Cave but smaller in size.
