The World's Smallest Park? Well obviously we had to go, if only to take a quick picture. The park is literally in the middle of a road in a crosswalk.

よく、この企画が出来ないと思いますとアメリカは偉大です。
Kimpton River Placeからもすぐのところにあるのですが 本当に一度見落としてしまった。
広大なアメリカであっても、ポートランド滞在したら、注意深く探すのをオススメします。
立ち寄る価値があるって感じです。本当に道路の中央です。

Once we found out that the smallest park in the world is in Portland, we decided that we had to visit while we were in Portland. I wouldn't say that this park should be a destination while you're in Portland, but it's worth a quick stop if you're in the area, just to be able to say you've been there. The park is very small, very easy to overlook, and in the middle of the street, almost a median.

Known as the world's smallest park, we thought it would be fun to visit.
The authorities could have made more of it; in truth, it was a circular kerb with a small tree in it. They could have planted a few flowers just to give it some colour and to make it look as though it was cared for.
There is a plaque and notice (giving explanation and story). Kind of fun, but could have been more cared for.

Thinking it would be fun to visit this tiny landmark with out of town relatives, I sent them into the crosswalk so I could take a photo of them "at the park." But by stopping for a pic, they missed the window for safe crossing, and had to stand in the middle of the intersection with cars zipping by on both sides and wait for the lights to cycle through before returning to the sidewalk. If I hadn't been on the sidewalk able to hit the crossing button, who knows how long it might have taken, since there's no way to trip the crosswalk when you stand next to the park. If you want a pic "with" this landmark, be prepared to get it while walking by (photo-bomb style).

This is, from what I’ve heard, the worlds smallest park. No bigger than a beach ball. It’s a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live here. As it sits in the middle of a crosswalk. Take a quick photo when traffic is light. Worth the quick visit

This tiny park is in the middle of a crosswalk! It was fun and ‘weird’ but be careful while taking your picture here! We enjoyed the silliness of it and it’s right next to the waterfront park trail. If you’re close by it’s worth a quick detour for a photo op!

Might as well plan to stay a few hours so you can enjoy and experience the whole park, otherwise you may not have enough time to see everything.

Mill Ends Park’s the final stop on the “Secrets of Portlandia Free Walking Tour” and I highly recommend participating to hear Eric’s (hysterically funny) take. If you can’t make the tour and just want to better understand Portland investigate this Park. Great example of how to keep Portland weird.

So, this falls in line with everything weird about Portland. A park in the middle of an intersection that measures some 400+ square inches. It's kind of cute. There is a plaque that explains its origin which is thankfully on the sidewalk and not in the middle of the street. Honestly, not knowing what we were looking for it took a minute to realize what it was.
