This is the best dive centre ever. So friendly, warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. I have completed courses and experienced guided dives with David and Justin and they were professional and friendly. The scenery is immense and ideally located. Jo and the team are really helpful and easily approachable. The shop has everything and the food from the van is brilliant. Don't go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed.

David and Ryan were brilliant instructors, very enthusiastic and friendly, I’d happily book another course. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I won't go anywhere else now that I've visited Mike, Jo and their incredibly hospitable crew! It felt like a second home. We'll definitely be back again and again.

Always a warm welcome here, which is why we keep coming back.
The family and staff always bend over backwards to ensure that you have a great time and get the number of dives and sites that you want.
There are a lot of repeat customers and regulars so we always end up meeting friends from previous visits, so there is always a great atmosphere on the beach.

Hi “Gaz Diver” (I will respect your desire to remain anonymous even though your review does not allow us the same privilege), so let me respond to your very unfair and incorrect review: 1. You came down with a club to camp and shore dive and 4 of you had booked to go on the boat the following day. We run with a minimum of 4 people on the Celtic Kitten. You were unable to dive off the boat because the rest of your club refused to buddy up with you because of the incident you had the previous day whilst shore diving. I explained that it was not our policy to allow you to dive solo and that we did advise you that it would be sensible to have a check up before diving because of the incident. I also explained that if we did give you your money back it would mean that we would have to cancel the boat for the rest of the group, which seemed unfair given the amazing support they had all given you the day before. You left the office and nothing more was said. 2. You failed to mention that you did actually get your money back (£65) because you went away and filed a card dispute. I didn’t have the time or energy to fight this and instead did try and contact you a few times to ask that you donate it to the air ambulance instead. We would have run at a loss that day. 3. So lets return to the incident on the day before the cancelled boat dive. An owner of another dive centre who was diving here came into the office saying that he needed to call 999 as there was someone who had to be rescued from the shore dive, screaming for help, weak and struggling to breathe. Neither he or I am qualified to make a judgement whether you were OK or not and at the time you were having difficulty communicating with people trying to help you. You were put on O2 and your symptoms were described to the 999 operator. Based on these symptoms they took the decision to send the air ambulance. We also had co responders, coast guards and a land based ambulance. They actually wanted to take you to hospital, but you refused. They did also advise you to have a check up before diving again. If you feel that they made a wrong diagnosis and made an issue of it, then maybe this is something you should take up with the highly trained, highly experienced medical professionals that attended to you that day! Personally, given the circumstances no one here could argue that they were in the wrong by taking the actions they did. 4. There were a lot of people who were very worried about you that day, including the lovely members of your dive club who like us, the other divers, the paramedics, co responders etc only had your best interests at heart. However instead of being grateful that so many people were there to help you, you didn’t thank anyone, you slyly got your money returned to you and you decide to slate us on tripadvisor and give us a bad review. I could have disputed your card dispute and feel 100% sure that I would have won. I could actually contact trip advisor and get them to take your review down for being false and unfair. However I want people to see how ridiculous and unkind your review is towards not just us, but all the people who spent their own time to help you. 5. So my message to you “Gaz Diver” is be kind, be considerate, be safe (especially diving, and in particular when after a medical episode) and look after the people that are trying to look after you!!!!

Back here again after over 20 years away, the diving is still as fantastic and the facilities are amazing now that the shop, air fill station, toilets and cafe are there. We stayed in Raglan apartment overlooking the sea, lovely comfortable place to stay and very reasonably priced too.
It was lovely to chill, dive and meet some lovely fellow divers too. The Helford River dive was brilliant and a very relaxed dive.
Fantastic impromptu weekend away with fantastic weather. We are back again in August if not before.

I stayed here last week in one of the apartments, while my eldest son was doing a PADI course.
The apartment was lovely - my favourite part was the view from the patio, having my morning coffee. The mattresses were so comfy! The facilities are excellent, everything we needed was there, it was clean and totally ready for us when we arrived.
The cafe on the beach was excellent and it was great not to have to think about lunch!
The staff on site are so friendly and helpful - Shannon checked us in and showed us where everything was.

The DIVE centre haas fantastic facilities, it's busy and well liked - I met lots of people doing courses, taking dives, and going out on the boats to dive. My son had the best week camping, and told me that he saw so much wildlife in his ocean dives. He can't wait to come back again!

Our family is planning to stay again, and I've told a few friends to come stay too! Thanks for having us!

we were looking for a classic bit of cornish diving and we certainly found it!. Porthkerris divers offer a full setup. so you can book everything through them - none of this 'we offer boat diving but you will have to get kit/wetsuit/air from somewhere else'.. so if you turn up and decide your wetsuit is too thick or whatever they have everything there. We did two shore dives on the 'house reef' (Drawna rock). Having done 99% of our diving overseas our expectations were low but we were amazed by the colours and abundence of fish (do bring a torch - it helps a lot). We saw cuttlefish, huge bass, polark, wrase, white starfish, blue starfish, multicoloured anenomes, shrips, squat lobsters, spider crabs and a couple of lobsters (plus many others).

Andy and dive leaderTom were great guides.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff - Shannon is so kind and personable, giving great recommendations and putting you at ease. My dive master and guide, Stephen, was fantastic at restoring my confidence during my refresher course and dive (having not dived in the UK before, and not dived since end of 2019). All staff members and divers were so friendly - No egos here at all!

The shore dive started rocky because of the harsh weather and although I was told it was a hard dive in the tough tides, I was extremely comfortable in the tidal water and saw a lot of classic UK marine life which I thoroughly enjoyed! Owing to the harsh weather and tides we explored rock crevices where life was tucked away in shelters. We saw crawfish, lobsters, spider crab, velvet swimming crabs, wrasse, gobies, rockling, dragonettes, molluscs and hermit crabs and starfish. I loved every second of it - Especially as we came up out of the water to two huge rainbows in succession.

Thoroughly recommend Porthkerris Divers - Will DEFINITELY be returning!
