We went to GW over the Presidents Day Weekend. Full disclosure I was expecting it to be busy and crowded. We arrived on Sunday and stayed until Tuesday. This was my first experince as Grandmom of a 10 year old visiting the resort. We were a party of 3 , myself, my daughter and my grandson. Right from our arrival there was no place to park and when we pulled up to drop luggage there were no carts to be found. Had to go inside and upstairs and find one in a hallway? Check in was fine and I must say the staff were very nice. The room was ok, pretty beat up but clean. The toilet had and issue and was running most of the first night. The waterpark was so crowded that there was no chairs until around 1:30 PM ( park opens at 10). People line up to go in and snag the chairs and nobody is watching or assisting in helping the paying customer to find a chair. We had dinner at one of the nice resturants and the first course of cornbread we ordered came cold. The waiter was gracious and sent it back , still was not as hot as I would have liked but ok. Otherwise the food was ok. We went to the bar after and had and additional drink and waited 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted another. Needless to say at that point we just wanted the check and that took another 30 minutes.
I am not the kind of person that is just complaining because I am old and don't like the kids. It is just the opposite, I love watching the kids have fun but when you pay 1200 for 2 nights at a resort and you can't find a chair to sit on at the pool?
We have done all the other resorts (Camelback, Hershey, Kahari) and have not had an experince like this.
I sent a review to the resort and never heard one work back!! Never again!

Here currently and want to check out early. Light switch in room was broken and needed repair. Found a goldfish in my sofa bed. A piece of hardware in the jacuzzi in my room was broken. Not enough chairs at the water park- I got to the water park early and put my stuff on 3 chairs. Someone came later and moved my stuff. When I went back to the chairs and sat in the chair I put my stuff on earlier on the person was very passive aggressive and got in my face and said “you’re welcome you guys enjoy these seats.” I was afraid for my safety because you never know these days and left the water park immediately. I was looking for a safe fun relaxing weekend with my husband and 3 year old for my birthday and thought it was run down, dirty, and had some rude and inconsiderate patrons. Staff was very friendly and I thought food prices were some what reasonable. 1000$ for 2 nights is definitely not worth it.

We booked this trip a few months ago and it said they had free parking. When we went to check in they said that they just changed their parking policy2 weeks ago. They made me pay for parking before I was allowed to check in. It was $15 to park my car there even though I rented a room. You have to check the towels in the water park in and out. If you lose one or forget to check one in it is $15 a towel. There are lockers and that was nice but they are in the middle of the isle ways in the water park. It is hard to get you stuff in and out with everybody walking past. I will not be coming back.

They encourage you to use a kiosk to check in. Which in theory should be easy. However, when we went to get on into our room with four kids and luggage, no access. So we had to go all the way back down to the front desk to find out there was no customer service for people who are already checked in. So we had to wait in an hour line for traditional check in anyway. My advice to you is just do traditional when you get there otherwise you can wait in long lines two times.
The water park was great but a little confusing the kiosk for the lockers assigns you a random number. I walked all around and couldn't find it and when I went to the information desk where it says information and towels on the sign the man says I don't do that. So I when one another Journey to find the locker.
We took advantage of a 24-hour flash deal so we got a really good price I would never pay full price. We really like the add-on breakfast the next day that was very good. The room was lovely, except for the lamp didn't work, and the phone to call the front desk didn't work. Once you get an idea of how things flow I think it is easier, but for anyone who's there for the first time you kind of are on your own to figure things out.

This is our third time here and most likely the last- we had trouble from the first night there. First, we couldn’t get the sofa bed opened or the TV to work. We called maintenance 3 times before they finally showed up and then the man said no one had bothered to put the calls in the computer for follow-up so we never got to bed with 3 kids until after 11 pm. Once the sofa bed was open, we discovered no sheets so the maintenance man brought back a bundle- they proved to be all pillowcases! Then we were subjected to loud thumps on the ceiling late at night and early morning- don’t stay on the first floor to avoid this annoyance! After all this, I forgot an expensive robe, leaving it hanging on the back of the bathroom door. You would hope the housekeeper would turn it into lost and found but after supposed intensive searches, no robe. Looks like someone has themselves a new robe. This whole negative experience is why I have given this visit only one star. The waterpark was fun- but increase the staff at the towel exchange to avoid long lines.

I rarely write bad reviews. But I am so disheartened by what this place has become since the renovations. We used to pay the crazy price to stay here because our kids loved it. This place is now poorly run, over crowded and most of the staff is extremely rude- to the point where we left a day early.
I know going in that Christmas week is busy; but with the rooms they added there is now barley any room to move at the water park. The staff must be over worked because they are rude- starting with 4 people standing around at hungry as a wolf and no one acknowledging that we were there to pick up food for 10 minutes. We got a boys attention to help and when we did one of his superiors came over and reprimanded him for helping us, saying"do you even know how to do this". We patiently waited for her to have this conversation with him and then she finally got our food. When they finally did the order was wrong and the cups would not scan to get a drink.
Moving onto the next day we did breakfast buffet- the young people working the counter gave us the charges and told us that we only needed to tip people busing the tables, as there was wait service. After my husband wrote they amount the two people at the front looked at each other and rolled their eye.me. For 5 people the buffet is well over $100- not once did anyone clear out plates, they just stood around talking. I don't expect much from a hotel buffet, but thought the staff may at least take some of our plates.
We tried to enjoy the overly crowded water park and at the end my kids wanted dip n dots. We waited in line and when it was our turn Victoria (who as working) rudely shouted that they were out of cookies and cream. We picked other flavors and she told my husband to scan his room bracelet to pay. The bracelet did not work and she put her hands up and yelled at my husband that it was declined - he was so taken back by her rudeness that he stared at he left for a few seconds. She aggressively then turned her register so he would see the screen, put her hands up and rudely shouted "it's declined! Do it again!" At this point I told her she was rude and asked her her name! She ripped of her name tag off, grabbed my arm and put it in my hand telling me to take it with me for when I file a complaint about her.
We went back to our room, packed our stuff and left 1 whole day early.
For the price I paid I was expecting better. The renovation added way too many people, the staff is l not properly trained. The new rooms are far from the water park, especially walking with kids. The new rooms also lack the charm of the old rooms (no fireplace or balcony, no tv in the kids cabin).
Unfortunately this place has gone down hill and is a huge waste of money. Look else where

The waterpark was amazing. there was also so much stuff to do like arcade and bowling. But the food is ok

We stayed in the new part of Great Wolf Lodge. Everything was awesome. I got the wolf pass for my son to avoid paying for every little thing. He is 12 and was fully engaged! We had an AWESOME time. The theming was totally on point and it was just the cutest little trip. We stayed 3 days two nights…just enough time to get everything done. (Bowling, mini golf, MagiQuest, water park, build a bear, and gift shop)

The food on site wasn’t the best but we went to Red Lobster for dinner. It was a 12 min drive. We also brought food for breakfast and lunch so we spent a minimum on food anyways.

Went all out for everything else though MagiQuest was so freakin’ cool. Recommended ages to take your kids to get the full experience are ages 8 to 13 yrs old.

What a waste of time and money for my family. I don’t know where to begin. Construction was taking place and it was absolutely awful. We checked in
And had to wait five hours for our room which is fine because we had the water park to keep the kids occupied. There was no concierge or place to put our baggage. Also, there was no place to park, we had to park off the reservation. Which is absolutely ridiculous . We also made a reservation via first come first serve. We were told it would be 45 minutes. We came back around 50 minutes later and they told us another 45 minutes, meanwhile there were 10 tables unoccupied. We went to the next restaurant which looked like a buffet. We waited 80 minutes for our food and walked out. My kids were absolutely miserable and didn’t know what to do. If we didn’t get a gift certificate I would never ever come back here again.

First time visit. Resort is currently adding more brand new suites, they should actually renovate existing spaces.
They encourage you to use self check in kiosks, but they weren’t working, so it took about 45 min waiting in line for check in. Our room was old, dirty and dark. Hair and blood (!!!) on sheets! Finding parking space is like scavenger hunt, even their overflow parking was full. Water park and slides are fun, but long lines. Crowded, lazy river feels like rush river with kids running and pushing. Overall overpriced food, overcrowded spaces and over chlorinated water. Definitely going somewhere else next time.
