Fantastic bay thats netted with plenty of places to lay or sit and relax before or after swimming. There is a fresh water outlet to rinse off or across the road showers and toilets right beside the cafe. Pleasant way to spend a few hours and easily reached by the ferry. My next stop on a hot day in Sydney

This harbour pool just about has it all, including bonuses of fab view of the Sydney skyline and good coffee across the road. The pool is fully enclosed so offers safe swimming and is large enough for serious swimmers to do laps. (It is a big enclosure - they also play water polo here.) It includes a couple of pontoons that are ideal for sunbaking and then jumping into the water. Great for kids!

Located just to the south of the blue jetty buildings is this public swimming enclosure. There are gates so it does not have instant easy access for small children and there is a number of benches for visitors to use.

This is one of many enclosed beach pools that were built along the Sydney coastline in the late 1800s, through to 1950s. The Watson Bay Baths are one of the earliest. They were built 1905 (although the iconic Bronte Baths and Bondi Baths were built even earlier in 1897). This was a time when pools were segregated and men and women were allocated different swimming times.
These Baths were renovated about 10 years ago and are a particularly good swimming area. They now include two netted swimming areas (one Olympic-sized) and floating sunbathing pontoons. There is jetty-like decking around the pools. Kids were having great fun, leaping from these.
It is worth noting that there is disabled access via a ramp leading into the water, as well as 2 fully immersible wheelchairs (MLAK needed).
Entry is free.
We were there mid-week and there were only about 20 or so people which meant it was not overcrowded in the water, although the pontoons were pretty much taken.
Tourists may prefer more of a beach experience. If so, you are better off walking in the opposite direction, around to Camp Cove (7-10 min walk).

This is a good spot to swim in the harbour. Well positioned to capture sun all day and has lots of easy access points. Usually it is not so crowded weekdays. Parking can be a problem.

This is a netted swimming area in the bay with some good pontoons. There's just a hint of beach, so it doesn't get the whole experience like some of the other harbour beaches and most people ignore it and swim at the un-netted beaches.

Watsons Bay Sea Baths are located directly across the road from the Tea Gardens Restaurant and Watsons Bay Library.
There are two sea wheelchairs inside storage lockers and good access via the wharf and ramps.
It's a popular spot for jumping off into the water.
There are open air showers and public toilets across the road.

Watson bay is the most beautiful suburb in sydney with a magnificent panaroma view to the ocean and city.

One of the few heritage swimming pools built into Sydney harbour which had a $2million overhaul in 2010. With changing rooms and the Watson's Bay Tea Garden - its a great way to while away a few hours
