Oh my goodness what an awesome experience !!!! My husband (age 60) and I (age 55) rented a Lamborghini at Calabogie Motorsports. We each did 2 laps of a racetrack in a Lamborghini Huracan Performante. There's a professional race driver in the passenger seat providing constant guidance; and, you get instruction before you even get in a car. There's also a Ferrari that you can drive and also a very fast high-performance Nissan. All cars are automatic transmission, are in great mechanical condition, and helmets are provided onsite for driver safety as part of the rental cost.

Customer service is fabulous from booking through the racecar driving . We had to reschedule due to medical reasons, and they were so accommodating in us rescheduling. The website is calabogiemotorsports.com

Important information to know though:

(1) Calabogie Motorsports is about an hour away from Ottawa, Ontario; so, you definitely need a car to get to the racetrack as it's not even remotely close to any public transportation.

(2) Although it's an exhilarating experience, it's not exactly a low-cost experience. As of September 2020, for 2 laps it was $169 Canadian. (So it was $381 all together in Canadian dollars with HST for both my husband and I ). Four laps is $269 before HST and 6 laps is $369 before HST. You can always purchase additional laps at the racetrack.

(3) Children can watch, but you must be 16 or older and have a valid driver's license to drive a racecar.

My son bought me a 4 laps at the racetrack. Drove a very hot Nissan. The 4 trips took about 4 minutes. The driving was a blast but the cost (about $160) is ridiculously high. Recommended only if you have some spare cash in your wallet.

This place is amazing - what a fantastic track layout, and they've improved the facilities each year that the memories of temporary trailers and gravel paddock are all but forgotten. Staff always seem to be friendly and helpful.

Plenty of places to park in paddock, but be aware that if you see the contents of a trunk sitting with no car around, it likely means that car is currently on track and you shouldn't park here. This year we were greeted with the fact there is no on site food shack, meaning your organization either needs to arrange for lunches to be delivered, or you need to bring food in with you. There is gas onsite to address the lack of 94 octane gas in town. The souvenir shed/gas shed sells some coffee and other snacks if you're desperate for something. There is a service garage on site at the far end of the paddock (near turn 2) that can address minor mechanical issues that may crop up from blasting around the track. The track surface, while still very smooth, is suffering from a lack of grip. The interesting thing is despite the lack of grip, it still will grind the tread off your tires in a few sessions. Some of the racers I've spoken to are insistent the track needs to be repaved, but I'll leave that to better experts than I. Overall it is a challenging, interesting 20+ turn layout that will make you want to come back again and again.

My son and daughter travel here regularly and just had their friend come from California to ride with them. Amazing surface, with a wide variety of turns and straight aways. They camp over for the weekend with their hairless cat Iris.
They can't get enough of this place!

Very happy to be invited to Calabogie GT and Pt Challenge Race 6 -

This is a great race track, was able to be part of the long and short track races. Lot's of parking and many vantage points to watch the race from.

Ted Powell Race Weekend @Calabogie Motorsports Park. What a great experience to be the Radio Guy for #79 Peter Vandoorn and #67 Ken Brough. Special thanks to Lexi for making it all happen. Your the best!!!

This is the cleanest most exceptionally organized racetrack I've ever been to. They put a lot of emphasis on safety for drivers. It's quite impressive.

My wife gave me the best 40th birthday present a guy could receive. She gave me some lap time in a Ferrari F430. I couldn`t have been happier. It was a super rush. Started off with a course run down, and some driving tips from the pro`s, followed by a walk around from a professional driver giving me the ins and outs of the car before we hit the track and to make sure I was properly seated in the vehicle for a wild ride. Once on the track he gave me pointers and really let me open up the cars power. It was incredible and well worth the money spent. I am considering doing a repeat this year for my 41st birthday. Over all we were on the track for atleast 45 minutes it would seem. Had so much fun, and it was definitely an experience to be had who ever wondered if they could handle a super car on a track environment.

350HP track prep race car. Very safe, great track. Follow the leader (Driver Instructor) format so they will let you get at speed but within reasonable boundaries. 30 mins of instruction, 15 mins of track time to get adjusted, then 30mins of faster speeds.

The best part of all was instructors Ray and James and clearly well run by Aspen.

We were spectators at Calabogie Motorsports Park for the motorcycle lapping and it was a great time. The stands are situated so you watch the riders do several turns. The washrooms are very clean. However, the only coffee and snacks the weekend we were there was in the little shop selling hats and t-shirts.
The snacks were candies, or microwaved breakfast sandwiches? We brought lunch from the Calabogie Lodge but for many others, they were wandering around looking for lunch on the track... why not have a French fry stand at least.... or some hot dogs...
