Les festivals Aloha mettent à l'honneur le riche héritage culturel d'Hawaï. Gratuits et ouverts au public, les quatre festivals ont lieu en septembre et ont un différent thème annuel chaque saison. Tous les festivals comportent de la musique et de la danse hawaïennes, des ateliers éducatifs, des concerts, des fêtes de rues, des défilés et diverses autres activités participatives. La cérémonie d'ouverture est particulièrement spectaculaire, avec la présentation de l'ancienne « cour royale », introduite en grande pompe avec de la danse hula et des chants traditionnels. Considéré comme « la plus grande fête de quartier d'Hawaï », Aloha devient un événement auquel prennent part tous les habitants, qui aiment particulièrement la musique, la nourriture et la camaraderie à l'échelle de la communauté que les festivités leur procurent.

What a wonderful time . Awesome parade. Floral theme was gorgeous. Music was incredible. Marching bands were perfect. So glad to be able to see such a talented group of people. Have seen parades all over the country. By far the best one I have had the opportunity to experience. Thank you to all of the performers for your unforgettable moments that will not be forgotten.

"Mahalo" to the organizers, volunteers, corporate sponsors and, this year's participants of the 2022 Aloha Festivals floral parade. I flew up special from the neighbor island to watch the floral parade live, which was on hold for years due to the pandemic.
I chose the Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra for lodging, for its convenient location adjacent to the 300+ stores and restaurants at the Ala Moana Center and, accessible to an early morning walk to secure our spot on Saturday morning after picking up Starbucks, located at the hotel's lobby level. We were satisfied with our first initial stay at this hotel and as a kama'aina, will return. Read my Tripadvisor review for more about the Ala Moana Hotel, written with an open mind, understanding that even though challenges arise, it's how both the operation and self finds positive ways to accept and move forward.
With our hotel being at the doorstep to the starting location of the parade, we were able to easily secure a shady spot while having the stone wall available to sit on, unobstructed without anyone in front of us. If you have a UV umbrella, don't forget to bring it or order one online on Amazon and, don't forget to bring sunscreen. We were situated across from Hawaiki Tower, which houses the television studio KHON. Our choice location proved to be smart, a short walk to Foodland Farms across the street for purchase of cold drinks and snacks and with a clean restroom available too.
The parade's starting point was just half a block down from us and, the first unit passed us around 9:20am. All marching bands began playing at our location, which was the starting point of crowds lining the street fronting Ala Moana Center on Ala Moana Blvd. Beautiful pa'u or horse units with each Hawaiian island represented with a pa'u Queen and attendants, were adorned in each island's respective color. That, along with some of the floral floats, especially from Hawaiian Airlines and, the high school marching bands, were the highlights of the parade for me.
This festival was created to allure visitors and bring a boost to our state's tourism industry during an off-peak season/month which was after summer but before the busy holiday season. Well, as a kama'aina, the return of the festival's floral parade and affordable roundtrip airfare price of $77 on Hawaiian Airlines allowed me to assist in bringing in revenue to Honolulu as a "visitor" and, contributed as a statistic for the state's tourism bureau. It was an honor to be a part of this classic Hawai'i cultural festival as a spectator and, I implore others to support other Hawai'i events statewide that perpetuate and showcase the rich Hawaiian culture and, our beautiful spirit of Aloha. Take care of yourself and each other.....with love, humility and, respect.

Wir waren ganz zufällig dabei, da unser Hotel an der Kalakaua Ave liegt.
Es gab viele Stände mit sehr lecker aussehendem Essen, Local Handarbeiten und Kunst und natürlich diverse richtig gute Vorführungen.

The monthlong Aloha Festivals celebration in September ends with a Floral Parade down Kalakaua Avenue - the main strip through Waikiki. I went to the parade for the first time this year, and got some terrific pictures of floats and paniolo and pa’u riders in Hawaiian riding regalia.
Because they close the street so early, we didn’t get parking at our preferred parking garage in Waikiki (International Market Place) but instead parked at Magic Island. It was a long, hot walk and you’ll want to have a bottle of cold water with you, but once you get to close to the hotels, you can grab drinks and snacks at an ABC store or Starbucks.
The smartest people had camp chairs and stakes out prime spots in the shade - kind of a haul to bring chairs though if you park far.

I just happened to be on the island in September for the Aloha Festival. Several blocks of Kalakaua Avenue along the beach are closed to vehicles for an evening of celebration. The Royal family makes their way down the street at the beginning of the festival around 7pm. There were 3 stages set up along the street for dancers and singers. Several local restaurants have food tents along the street. A couple of local groups have fund raisers so make sure to stop in and purchase something to help out the locals. I was a little disappointed that more local artisans were not present but hopefully next year.

Cousin Maya is THE best guide I have ever met anywhere in the world! From the moment he greeted us at our hotel until the moment he dropped us back there, we were Ohana! He brings warmth, comfort and good humor to every new cousin who arrives on the bus. His knowledge and pride of Hawaiian history, geography and culture is exemplary. We were actually sorry to say Aloha at the end of our trip. Mahalo and Aloha Cousin Maya from Florida and Michigan on May 5, 2017🤙🤙✌️

In September Kalakaua Avenue is closed to vehicles for an evening to celebrate the Aloha Festival. Good food, nice entertainment, some Hawaiian Culture and shopping stretched along the Avenue for at least a half mile. For dinner I had fresh, moist, grilled chicken with sides which I carried off to my room and ate comfortably. When I came back down from dinner I enjoyed a genuine Hula group, comprised of ladies that sang and danced very well. Then it was time to do some serious shopping for my girls. I was able to buy a colorful shell necklace for my youngest daughter and gained some ideas for her sister. Every booth had a sponsoring group and all the groups I spoke to were very gracious and hospitable. While I am not one who usually enjoys crowds, the good feeling (Aloha) of this night made the experience really pleasant.
