A lovely mostly easygoing undulating hike along a spectacular coast line. Weird dead birds tho. Amazing trees and shrubs. Toilets at the car park. Mixture of beach walking and cliff walks.

We did the whole loop of combined walks around Cape Woolamai, which was about 8km in total, and it was well worth it. Beautiful coastal views and a great way to spend half the day. We finished it off with lunch from the kiosk at the carpark. Definitely recommend.

Very scenic views around the cape. It is a fairly easy walk but quite long. There are a few different options to shorten the route a bit. Definitely recommend if visiting Phillip Island

The scenery is unspoilt and spectacular. The home nesting area for short tailed shearwater birds is amazing. The trail is easy to walk and has to be one of the most spectacular I’ve ever done

I've done this spectacular walk twice now and it's always so fun and scenic. It's about 8 km all the way around with an amazing beach walk you can start on or end on depending what way you start. Go at low tide to walk on the beach. Enjoy!

Terrific walk - starting off at a spectacular surf beach through to stunning seascapes and finally to a peaceful and picturesque swimming beach.

My wife and I went on this coastal walk for the first time, a few days ago during our holiday in Phillip Island for two nights.
We parked our car at the car park at Cape Woolamai beach and walked the 2.2 kilometers to The Pinnacles. After that, we walked back to our car.
We enjoyed the spectacular views, the physical exercise and the sunshine. The Spring weather was perfect during our walk.

The Cape Woolamai Walk will bring you close to nature. It's an unspoilt part of Phillip Island. You will see the picturesque seascape, which varies according to the weather and the season. You will also see aquatic birds, plus the shearwaters, also known as muttonbirds. By the way, the muttonbirds dig tunnels to nest in. If you stray off the path, your foot may fall into a muttonbird's nest, If so, don'r worry, the birds will dig the nest out again.

This walk is supposed to take 3 hours. My almost-adult daughter and I did it in 2, with stops to take 40+ photos, because the scenery around every corner is magical.
Hot tip #1 - drive as far as you can. To the last car park with the cafe.
Hot tip # 2 - the walk starts along the beach. The first sign in the car park points you in the right direction. Then you walk along the beach towards the cliffs for what seems like way too long. Eventually you will come across the stairs that take you off the beach and onto the trail.
From then on, you won’t be stopping to catch your breath, purely for photos.
Hot tip #3 - don’t be fooled into taking the ‘short’ trip back via the same beach. Stay right on the trail and head to the quarry. The less-rugged scenery isn’t quite as spectacular, but the contrast is amazing.
Follow the inland beach for what seems like another eternity until you find the walk-though. Straight back to the car park.
If anyone knows of a better 2-3 hour walk within 2 hours of Melbourne, please let me know!!
