We didn’t have a good experience in the tearoom at all. Food was overpriced and the cakes looked amazing but tasted terrible, don’t be tricked. Chips were okay. We ordered 2 diet cokes which I’m sure were £2.75 each and I saw them pour it from a 2 litre bottle into a tiny glass. Our drinks were warm and tasted flat, I asked for ice and they had none. Not what I’d expect from a Farmshop cafe. Honestly terrible.

Farm shop is great, but cafe experience no so good, I know the place was busy, but after ⁹queuing for 5 mins we got to order, breakfast roll and toastie and 2 coffees then took 10 mins for coffee to come and 5 more minutes toastie and chips arrived the waiter 5 more mins for the filled roll. Now I am in catering and can see the downfalls here with order slips, electronic till ticket printers would help there! And as for food orders the whole table should be served together, toastie wasnt toasted properly and toast! And the roll was no better than you would get at a burger stand...... but the farm shop is well worth a visit....

It is always a pleasure to visit here and at this time of the year there is the added attraction of Christmas products to browse.
As usual, we were most interested in the food hall and after trying some tasty samples we bought some excellent pork and tomato sausages as well as some very nice scones and mince pies.
Service was very good and the prices reasonable.

Shockingly bad experience. Car park is a nightmare on so many levels it's a free for all very unpleasant. The queuing system and ordering is a joke. So many staff and yet the don't wait on tables it's so stupid. And the alternative milk for a coffee is £1 yes that right £1 absolutely outrageous. The majority of the shop is so over priced with bought in stock it's the farm shop fare that in practically every farm shop these days nothing unique about it. Never again!

We called here on a Wednesday morning as a coffee stop on a trip to the Lake District. We ordered a coffee each and a fruit scone. My coffee was a regular Cappucino which cost £4.25 which I thought was very expensive given that it was quite weak with not much taste. My wife ordered a decaff Cappucino with Soya Milk. This was charged an extra £1 i.e. £5.25!!. We thought this was very expensive. Whilst appreciating Soya milk is slightly more expensive than ordinary milk ,not to the extent of adding an extra £1 to the bill. We have never been charged extra for Soya milk any where else. The taste again was weak and tasteless. Our disappointment with the coffee was compounded by the fruit scone. Whilst this was fresh the texture was extremely crumbly such that when trying to spread butter on it it just fell apart and we had to end up eating the small pieces with a spoon. Altogether we were very disappointed with the price and the quality. It is a pity has the conservatory has a lovely view of the hills beyond but we will not be stopping here again.

Once you get past the bottleneck of traffic trying to get in and park on there terrible uneven surface its a free for all there but there is plenty to see and buy here, ok its expensive but its mainly local produce but there are some lovely clothes,food,drinks and gifts to buy here unusual and posh,cafe always full,fab displays but sometimes can be too busy for my kids and anxiety steps in .a few animals to see as well,very rarely quiet here in any weather ,only let down is parking no signage,no markings,uneven and dangerous.

Called in on the way home this “Farm Shop” was packed very noisy and kids running around out of control.
We’ve visited countless farm shops but this is just too big,
Agree there local produce etc it it’s so expensive.
Give me smaller farm shops any day next time we’re passing will drive by.

Love this place,always stop off here on the way to the lakes,the shop has some really lovely things,from fresh veg to fresh meat which looks amazing,lots of other things as well,had our usual bacon butties and cuppa,and served by wonderful friendly staff,thank you

Visited this Farm as we usually do when travelling past on the A66. We found that access and parking is getting more difficult due to the number of visitors. Also the large shop area is becoming more congested. There are some very nice individual and unusual items, as well as staple food products, but they appear to be increasing in price and leading us to question the value for money. Disappointingly we will think twice before visiting again.

Quickly popped in for a loo break and a walk on our travels, there’s some lovely pieces inside the shop and all the food smelled and looked beautiful. Kids loved the animals, especially seeing the camels up close.

It's a working farm with an array of animals that you can see. There is no cost involved. It has a very large farm shop, shopping area, restaurant and a children' s play area. Well worth a visit and very popular.
