Terrific selection of WW2 aviation artefacts supported by comprehensive research, which puts them in context.
The near complete, rare airframes alone made our visit worthwhile.
Talk to the friendly museum team who are a wealth of information. We were allowed to visit the workshop and learned about direction finding in the radio shack.

We live 10 minutes from this place and we finally visited. Had a great overview introduction and enjoyed looking through the exhibits at our own pace. Probably best for older kids, our 6 year old got a bit bored before we did!

Highly recommend this museum if you are interested in history,Len and the guys ( sorry forgot your names ) are so knowledgeable not only about all the items within the museum, but how it came about by 2 brothers collecting...it is truly amazing, whether you are into aviation or just our history, run by volunteers, my dad loved it, we all found it very interesting, great way to spend a couple of hours.

One of the most interesting and exciting aviation museums we’ve visited! As a Mother/wife of WW2 obsessives, I am often dragged along to ‘boys days outs’ especially Aviation Museums and Wings Museum really was a welcome surprise.. Lots of very helpful and knowledgeable staff who are very proud of their WW2 Collection which has been put together in the most intelligent and creative manner which all together tell ‘stories’ which draw you deeper into their dramas with unexpected twists n turns..
Will be visiting again soon and will be spreading the wonders of this place far and wide!

Amazing little gem of West Sussex. Driven past this a number of times & finally had the opportunity to visit.
If you are an aviation, WWII (or both) fan, this is the place for you to visit. So many cool pieces and loads of information. Very informative and educational. It feels more like someone’s personal collection being exhibited and I personally loved that.
The staff were SO friendly & gave my partner a run down of the plane you could sit in near the entrance.
I will 100% visit again- I just wish I had the time to volunteer as I would.
Would highly recommend.
My favourite exhibition was the plane that was used in Band of Brothers.
Adult entrance fee was £12.50 (with discounted rates for kids etc). All the money is invested back into the museum.

This is really an amazing museum. Don't expect a collection of shiny aircraft, no this museum is showing real gems. What about a Kingcobra, a Beaufort, an Invader, a Boston, a Hampden and a Kate? No, they are not the complete aircraft but recovered wrecks, often more than 70% complete and in a setting that gives tribute to these rare aircraft! And don't forget the many, many objects of various aircraft, from a working gunsight to the double engines of a German Greif! In the meantime the volunteers are working hard on restoring aircraft, like a Kingcobra and a Mitchell.
Oh yes, and don't get caught by one of the volunteers. They tell you amazing stories about their precious objects and make you forget time!. So a wonderful place to spend a few hours!

I don't know but it's a very casual and friendly organisation so possibly, however at £8 it's hardly expensive and worth a visit.

I would say so, but they might need some help understanding the history. I think there was one cockpit one can sit in and other plane you can walk through.

Hi. No, there is no cafe or food but they have a hot drinks machine. We took a small picnic with us. There is a bench outside the hanger where you can munch.

Hello
Are dogs allowed on site on leads please?
Rédigé le 26 août 2015
It doesn't specifically mention dogs, but the people there are very amenable and I'm sure that would be OK. I would call them before to confirm
Hope this helps
