Another excellent stay at Turners Hill. This is our third visit to this Embers campsite.. the nearest thing to wild camping with the benefit of hot showers, clean facilities and delicious pizza if you can’t be bothered to cook.

This is our second year in a row at the Turners Hill site. We absolutely love it! We were three families with 5 kids between us and the location feels so safe as you take a long drive to reach the site from the main road (look out for deer along the way!) the kids used their imaginations the entire time. It’s surrounded by woodland they can play in. The facilities were all clean and working and should you need an electrify boost they do have a phone charging station under canopy where you’ll find a freezer for your ice packs to re freeze for your coolers. Staff are amazing and always helpful, it rained on the morning we needed to leave and they made sure to let us know there was no rush and stay until it cleared up so the tent could be dry when packed away. We had already extended our stay by a night too. If you want your kids enjoying the outdoors away from electronics then this is ideal. We love it here!

Look no further, this is a brilliant campsite. The holy grail of beautiful grass meadow and surrounding woodland, which meant the children were happy to run around and play.
The campsite had a unique feel of a boutique place away from masses, details well considered.
The on-site coffee shop/snack bar made life very easy indeed for breakfast. Pizzas were made on site in the pizza oven and were delicious. There were flushing toilets, showers, charging station and a freezer for the mod cons. There’s also a sheltered area with table and benches in case the weather isn’t ideal which meant we didn’t need to put up the gazebo. All the amenities were near the camping area so no long treks to the toilet in the night.
Cars have to be parked away from the camping area but we were allowed to park next to tents to load and unload.
We were a large group and luckily had this gem of a campsite all to ourselves. The two guys in charge, Luke and Harry were brilliant. Always happy to help with anything and even entertained the kids. There was someone on-site all day till late evening to help out with any requests.
The local pub, the Cowdray Arms was nearby and served delicious and generously portioned food. The Grange Farm shop was also a good find for sourcing meat.

Great campsite. Lovely clean facilities. Great pizza and coffee. Super accommodating staff. Big shout out to Oscar and Jess. These guys were so helpful. One suggestion that I feel would be useful is for a canopy/cover of some sort over the washing area. The kids got soaked in a downpour just before bed while cleaning their teeth. Apart from that the site is perfect.

Don’t book. Embers is an awful company and the sites are over priced. There is no friendly accommodating spirit with this company. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere better for half the price. If you do book read the Ts & Cs v carefully and prepare for them to try to make money out of you at every turn.

Hi Jade, We're so sad to see your review! I can see that you were booked in with us last August and took advantage of an offer bagging a stay for 3 Adults & 2 Children for only £31.50! Unfortunately we weren't able to accommodate your booking change as you were due to arrive on the same day and our team had already prepped for your arrival. We try to be as accommodating and flexible as possible, but sadly 3 hours notice of a date change on your check in day just isn't possible.
