We made the reservation for Moab several months prior to travel and when our trip was approaching we had still not received any information about the location. One day prior to our trip after I emailed and questioned it, I was forwarded an email that was allegedly sent to me cancelling the reservation. I was told the refund would be sent within 5-10 business days, but at this point I have yet to receive the refund, and only get generic emails stating they will check into it and get back with me. DON"T waste your time or money.

Beautiful stars, pretty sunset. And we didn’t have to worry about hauling our own camp equipment. The beds were very comfortable. It’s definitely camping at its best. The only downside was our car was not 4wd. But my little Honda Fit made it there and back, albeit very slowly. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Friendly and helpful staff.

If your thinking about booking a stay at Wandercamp do yourself a favor and don’t book it. My boyfriend and I recently booked a night during our trip from PA to the Midwest and boy do we regret it. We had read some poor reviews before coming but also saw a few good ones and decided to stick with our plans that we had made a couple months ago. Some of the reviews mentioned how the road to get to the camp outside of Zion was dark and hard to get through w/o an SUV. For that reason we made sure to take an SUV on our trip. After a long day at Zion we made our way to the camp. Although we expected it to be a difficult find we did not expect to have to drive through dirt roads inches from the side of a cliff! We were very relieved when we found the camp. When we pulled up we got out of the car to look for our tent number which they had sent us 2 days prior in a confirmation email. Our number was tent 25 to our surprise there was only 12 tents. Another couple who was at the site had the same issue and had been trying to contact someone from Wander Camp w/o any luck. We decided to stick around for a little while we tried to contact someone. During this time I decided to rinse off in their “bathroom.” Now don’t get me wrong I didn’t expect it to be glamorous but I also didn’t expect to have to shower next to a pile of cow poop (questioning how the poop got into the tent that a cow could not fit into) We finally reached someone who then told us they had the nerve to say we didn’t have a reservation but were willing to refund us (makes sense). At this point we left and had to once again drive through the dirt roads on the side of a Cliff in the dark. Do yourself a favor and don’t book a stay here!!!

The yurts are cute and comfortable. Nice beds and bedding, two nice leather lounger chairs and wood folding chairs and tables make the room quite cozy. They are spaced out far enough away from each other that it feels private. The location is glorious. The sunset and stars were beautiful, the common area firepits were fun, and the location is very close to the Grand Canyon south entrance. We got up and into the park early the next morning. However, I was not pleased with the customer service we received on a very COLD night. We rented a heater on their website (I originally booked on Airbnb, but then found it cheaper on their website.) I had booked a king room so that my daughter and I could snuggle if needed. (I had seen the weather forecast.) When we arrived, Jeremy told us that he had moved us to a closer tent with twin beds. It was late and I didn't argue. The heater we had rented was not in our yurt, but Jeremy had them near the check-in pallet. He showed me how to use it when I asked him. He did not say anything about how long it would last. I learned from another guest that it would only last 4 hours on low and shorter on high. Each shared bathroom yurt features a toilet/shower/sink combo on top of a platform. It was a big step get up onto the platform, and there wasn't much on top either. The water was very cold...so we didn't shower. There were only two bathroom yurts available. There were 5 firepits in a common area, but only 3 picnic tables...so two groups congregated around the three picnic tables and two firepits. Later I saw others using the same firepits. They need more tables. Finally we crawled in bed..it was freezing in the yurt and ended up getting into the mid 30s that night. The heater lasted less than four hours, so I was quite cold by morning. They should have given me two cannisters or had gotten bigger heaters. The signage and gravel road could also be improved. Would we go again..maybe if it was warmer. For for a camping experience where I hardly got any sleep, it was pretty expensive.

Check in was easy. Jeremy was very helpful and accommodating. We booked a family tent and there was plenty of space in side the tent. Beds were clean and comfortable. We will definitely look for a wander camp experience again.
