This property exemplifies the natural richness, beauty of Jamaica and its very rich history. During my very short sojourn to Lime Hall, I was quite impressed with this property and the staff (owner included). As we drove up the hills to get to Liberty Hill I wondered for a minute "Are we there yet?". But once we arrived, we were greeted by the owner Jennifer Kerr who was the most gracious host I have ever met in life and I work in the hospitality industry, so that speaks volumes to the service given. It is definitely off the beaten track but the journey is well worth it. I was not prepared for the breathtaking 260 degree view of the ocean (1200 feet above sea level) plus the mountains and city below. It was truly an incredible sight and I would go back there just for that view. Grace, I think her name was served us breakfast and it was amazing...callaloo with fresh ground provisions and coconut water, all foods served are farmed on property organically which is impressive. Ms. Kerr offered us sour sop ice cream and pimento wine, both of which Ive never heard of and I'm Jamaican, it was divine. All made by her from scratch. Being a Great House I thought it would feel haunted but it was quite the opposite, the tour given by Ms. Kerr is a must while visiting, it was like a brief history lesson on not only the house but Jamaica. We were given freshly picked strawberries while walking through the farm on property. The rooms are understated but possess old Jamaican elegance and charm. There is also an impressive little library/living area that I regret not getting a picture of. Not to mention the lovely gardens overlooking the amazing view of the ocean. I couldn't stop myself from snapping pictures at every turn and I honestly didn't want to leave my new found friends at Liberty Hill Great House. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a true experience with nature and relaxation coupled with friendly service and of course any Great House enthusiast!…
