Excellent site, very friendly and helpful staff. Flat area available for camping including backpackers like me. Great beaches and places to eat just down the road. Superbly located for walkers filling the Coast Path.

Stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 camping along with our cousin and their kids. Great little site situated at the top of little haven, with a friendly welcome from Gary the warden. Site is probably more geared around static caravans of which there are approx 40 in total located around the edge of the upper park and then a cluster down the middle/bottom. Top of the park is a sloping green used for touring caravans and tents with electric hook ups, probably space for 7 or 8 of either. Facilities could do with updating for touring caravans and campers. There is a toilet block split between male and female. Male block has one urinal, one shower and a toilet plus two basins and a hand dryer. Lots of bugs setting up home in there but generally clean. Not sure on the womens set up but can’t imagine it was much different. Wouldn’t cost a lot to upgrade these facilities and then the owners could attract a better rate but for what we wanted with two nights camping they were fine. Great views down over the Pembrokeshire costal path to little haven and broadhaven. Little haven is approx a ten minute walk down the hill whereas broadhaven is probably an additional 10mins away on foot. Great selection of pubs all serving food in both towns and we got lucky and were there for the regatta. Great weekend away and will likely return next year to the same site.

Lovely caravan park. Small, clean and tidy. Had a pizza kind of trailer at the entrance. We didnt try but very handy and heard they're delish. Close to the quaint little centre of little haven. It has 3 pubs 2. You can eat in all of them and the food is good. We ate in the swan upstairs. Excellent service and menu. I had the chicken. So tasty with pasta. Sounds ordinary but nothing is here! It also has a side bit to sit out which is gorg in the sun. People are relaxed and chilling enjoying time with family and friends. I really liked it here.
The sea is closeby and it has sand to sit in and bathe.
Its only a short walk up and down the hill to the park. We are returning. Will explore the beaches and bays nearby.

Howelston is primarily a static caravan park, with a mix of caravans to let and privately hired caravans. The site used to be privately owned by the adjacent Howelston Farm (hence the name), until taken over by a company who owns sites elsewhere.
When the site was taken over, the camping & touring caravan site moved from an adjacent field, onto the same field as the static caravans.
The site is a sloping site, with the campers being situated towards the top, so you get a great view out to sea, looking out across the Pembrokeshire Coastal path, over to Broad Haven, Newgale and St David's in the distance. Electric hook ups are available for tents and touring caravans, via a standard three pin camping hook up.
The village is only a couple of minutes walk (either down the road or along the coastal path) and has 3 great pubs (The Swan is a little more swanky than the other two, with great food and cocktails).
The site is a great location to base yourself, to explore all the natural beauty that this part of Wales can offer.
Whilst the review is great thus far, I have given an average rating, as the facilities for campers - whilst relatively recently being re-developed - are left lacking.
The original shower/toilet block has been demolished and the new facilities were incorporated into the new site office block. Unfortunately, this meant a reduction in the facilities on offer. There seems to be no designated dish washing area for campers. The only place it looked like you might do your dishes, is in what looks like a cleaners sink in the ladies WC. There is no such facilities in the men's WC. There is also only one shower in both the men's and ladies WC. As the block is situated at the top of the sloping site, the water pressure is poor and if (for example) someone puts on the shower in the ladies, the mens shower merely trickles. Also, the shower cubicles generally get wet from the spray, right across the cubicle, which is a problem, as there is nowhere to put your shoes, to keep them dry.
The site used to be a largely undeveloped site overall, with the basic beauty of a Pembrokeshire field, but recent 'gardening' around the site (both by the owners and also the private caravan owners) has meant that the site is beginning to look a little more like a retirement village, somewhat losing the charm it had when we used to visit.

Whilst these issues are by no means a reason not to stay at Howelston, the site fees are quite high, compared to other sites where a good, warm shower is a given and designated dish washing is available.

Lovely clean quiet holiday park which is close to both Little Haven and Broad Haven.Little Haven has 3 pubs,we only tried two as one wouldn't let dogs in.Out of the 2 I would highly recommend The Swan. When the tide is right out it is a lovely breathtaking walk between Broad and Little Haven,it takes about 20-30 mins and is very dog friendly. The park is within reach of St Davids,Tenby & Stackpole to name a few.For food etc there is a small convenience store in Broad Haven that stocks most things you'll need,if you want more there are the usual big supermarkets in nearby Haverfordwest. The only negative I can give is that the park charges £10 per week per device for wi-fi ! When most places offer this for free I do think this is rather steep.Having said that what did we do before wi-fi ??? Great holiday, would recommend.
