We spent the night of the 16th July, having booked a 'deluxe' suite for £108. The room had exposed wires coming out of the wall, holes in the wall, a shower that could only do very hot with intermittent bursts of scalding. The room was next to the kitchen bins, so you were hit be bin smell and swarming flies as you entered and left. You do however get the scenic view of kitchen staff members coming outside for a cigarette break, which does add a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the view of the scenic car park! The room is directly under the air-conditioning unit for the kitchen so the noise is relenteless until it is turned off very late at night. We arrived at about 8.30pm, after copious road delays, and wanted to get something to eat, but the were told that the kitchen stopped serving at nine and that they were too busy to do anything for us. All of the comments detailed here were given to the staff, but the 'I'm only the restaurant manager' response wasn't exactly inspiring. The whole thing was distinctly amateur and very sloppily executed. I would strongly advise going somewhere else. (Our next night was at the Verve at Diss, which was super, and a great deal cheaper!)…
Been twice now and the quality of the food is amazing. Italian dishes - fantastic seafood and lots of other dishes to choose from. Carbonara is my favourite so far. Made to feel welcome and had fun trying to copy their creative napkin folding!! 😂Fresh, clean environment- a must visit if you can get a table.
We stayed in room 3 above the restaurant with access via a steel staircase outside. It was basic and small but was comfortable and clean. Shower good and a peaceful nights sleep for us both. It's worth the stay for a good night at the bar and restaurant and to relax into the next day. We will return.
