Our third trip to Telluride. Our first stay at Ghostrider. Beautiful condo. Updated & very well equipped. Kitchen is great. Love that the coffee maker makes cups as well as carafes. Pretty much everything you need including board games! Owners have done a great job making this small condo very functional. I love all the unique coat hangers. Condo is conveniently located about 3 min walk to Gondola & restaurants. Lots of large windows. Unit sleeps 6 but anything more than 4 adults would be tight. The living area only seats 4. The eating area seats 8. Coming in between Christmas & New Years, we paid $4865 / 5 nights through Alpine Lodging. If I wrote the review the day we arrived, I would give it a 5 star because it’s clean & is aesthetically pleasing. We probably would have requested this unit again on our next stay. However, we are on day three of NO HEAT in the main area. They provided us with 3 plug in heaters & told us we could use the oven to heat the condo. (Luckily we do not have kids in our group.) It seems very dangerous to leave heaters on at night. Therefore it’s freezing when you wake up in the morning to start the heaters. The staff is very friendly & kind but there is no urgency in getting the heat fixed. It’s 0 degrees outside. Vacations are for relaxing, I only want to freeze on the slopes! I definitely don’t want to wake up an hour before my family to start floor heaters. 🙄…
Waking to the gondola, walking to and stumbling from the great brewpub across the street could not have been easier. Covered parking was a bonus as well . No issues since everything worked well and the bathroom was fine, but the kitchen cabinets look like the ones I ripped out of our house in 1995. Really people, this is Telluride. Couldn't you have found someplace else to put the furniture in your house you were done with? Overall a good experience since the location was so good for skiers and shoppers. I would use it again, but I wouldn't seek it out as a "special" place to go.
The location was good. Close walk to the gondola. The condo layout was very functional for families but the unit we stayed in, Ghostrider unit 3, desperately needed to be updated. The linoleum was chipped and stained, the carpet was worn out, one of the living room chairs leaned to the side. The sheets were cheap and like sandpaper. The bedding was old and one comforter was stained. The kitchen was nicely equipped but there wasn't even a single use bag of cheap coffee, so I had to walk several blocks just to get a cup of coffee. It was a good value but kinda icky.
We stayed at the Ghost Riders #10 during the Jazz Celebration last week. We had 10 in the condo. It is comfortably furnished. The condo is four bedrooms, three bathrooms, which worked perfectly for us. The living room has a large sofa which was perfect for us to be able to gather in the living room to socialize. The beds were comfortable. We wanted to be close to the park for the festival, and while it was not as close as we thought, it was only a four-block walk through town. or about an equal distance walk down a path along the river. I would stay here again in an instant. Some of the furnishings may be old, but they are comfortable, and the nice big couch was a definite plus. There is only one spot for parking in the garage. The rest is street parking. It's a bit of a hassle to have to feed the meter on the other cars, and we were given different stories about price of parking in the public lot. But the parking would be an issue at every condo, and it is just a minor inconvenience of visiting Telluride.…
