Definitely do not stay here! They have people that live there that constantly asking for cigarettes or money, rundown DIRTY 🤮 I wouldn't recommend this to anyone even if it were a dire need, don't look like they ever clean the room and ify on whether or not they change the sheets. ROACHES seeing this is what sent me running. 🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️💨.
This place is awful and the owners are scam artist! I booked this dump in desperation because all rooms in Springfield were booked for the National Biker Roundup. (August 3-4,2018). On August 2 in the wee hours (12:01am) I cancelled this reservation because i found rooms at a Springfield hotel. The INtown Montel's cancellation policy stated that I had up until 6pm on the arrival date to cancel so I was more than 24 hours ahead of my deadline. I received a confirmation of cancellation from Hotels.com by email which listed my time of cancellation. To my horror, after a quite enjoyable weekend my bank card is charged for both nights! I contacted Hotels.com and their representative verified that I had cancelled on time and contacted the property for me. She told me that the manager who would not give his full name, only initials, was not on site but would look into it when he returned to the property. He also stated that I must not have cancelled the reservation if I was charged. He said if I had cancelled properly he would refund my money and call me. Needless to say he never called and my account was not refunded. I called the property directly next morning at about 8:30am. A male who was obviously sleeping answered in a groggy tone. I told him my name and what my issue was and he responded by saying I told the lady I would check on it and call you. I asked him when he planned on doing that he said he was in bed and would be at the property at 11:00am. Im asking myself what hotel front desk isnt staffed until 11am? I called back at 11am and he answered again and he was obviously awakened by my call. I asked him when he was getting out of bed and when would he handle my account. He told me to call back in an hour...I didnt. I called my bank and disputed the charge. I wont get any money back for 3-5 business days and Ill have to provide proof that I did cancel on time and did not stay there. All of this over a property I never set foot on. Obviously this place is seedy and lacks integrity. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFORMATION.…
The photo's tell most of the story. Clean towels that look like a mechanic just wiped his hands on them. Smoke smell so bad I couldn't wear clothes the following day. Paper thin walls. Domestic fights in the car park. Receptionist greets you through plate glass and passes documents through a small hole. TV Remote looked like someone had rested their cigarette on it and melted the buttons. (TV not working ..... funny that) I was booked in for 2 nights and simply just left.
