Mold in rooms (air conditioner) made us sick, showers full of hair and sand... mattresses/box springs!had stains probably from the 70s. The mattresses have no comfort to them whatsoever... like sleeping on the hard floor. The doors are push lock... as in turn the knob to the right and push in... the doors do not close easily. Light switches keep you guessing which goes to what. Be careful in the bathroom because when you get up from the toilet you will hit your head on the towel bar. In conclusion, not the cleanest or most updated nor is it worth $80-$90 per night.

If you're reading this and you want a plush room, with flat screens, up to date appliances and room service, White Lake is not for you and neither is Lasleys. However if you want a nice, quiet weekend by the lake to rest, revive and enjoy your people, Lasleys is the place for you. Their hotel rooms are quite large with 2 double beds, small bathroom with a large shower and an odd kitchenette. As the pic depicts above it is one stainless appliance circa 1960 that combine the sink, 2 burners and small fridge on bottom. So don't plan on cooking much. We actually had to purchase a cooler because the fridge didn't stay cold. Also, although there is a elderly tv, don't plan on watching it. No cable. Pluses -not very crowded, far enough from Goldstons that you don't have to deal with the public swimmers -almost right across the street from Pizza Connection, Ski Burger and Ice House - really nice pier, lighted with a portion covered and benches -cute courtyard area on the beach with chairs and benches shaded in trees This place has been for sale for a few years now so I understand there not being room updates. They do have a couple of cabins, trailers as well as the hotel rooms. Would recommend this place and would stay there again even knowing what I know now about the kitchen and tv for a long weekend. Might want to check out other places if you're staying a week though. Owners are very nice, house keeping lady was as well.

At first when I walked in the door I could have sworn I'd stepped back to 1950 and was going to be greeted by Christopher Walken sitting in a chair smoking a pipe.... To say the place is a little dated would be akin to saying a cat has a climbing gear or the Pope is slightly Catholic! Out of all of the 1950's technology one of the coolest things is they have a stove that doubles as a refrigerator and a sink don't ask me how that's even possible in one appliance but somehow in 1950 they manage to do that where are those inventors today I wondered? Yes I kid you not, one single appliance has a sink a stove top and refrigerator all in one. So now it is possible to boil water, get electrocuted, spill the pot in the sink all while keeping your items cool merely inches below the searing heat of the surface of the stove as you wash your dishes. Perhaps this is all a facade a very modern facility and someone carefully crafted all of these objects to appear as if its 1950 is so kudos they have done well. I've been wondering where would you find such appliance, chairs, tables, bedspread, carpet, furniture, televisions and so on. This is so well done to appear as if I were in 1955 on a set of Leave It to Beaver. The rooms are relatively clean however I would wear flip flops if I were going to walk around and certainly some sort of shower shoes if I were to venture in the shower. The mattress has that sort of Jena se qua feel of something between A entry-level futon combined with a worn out 20 year old mattress that Smith left on daily its actually hard to describe. In summary it's white lake, it's last minute it's $85 a night, what does one expect? If you are looking for modern amenities, comfort and/or Creature Features certainly this is not the hotel. If however, you plan on coming in after a long day of playing in the water and just want a place to lay down, cut the lights off and sleep this will suffice.

This is an old cement block motel but it is comfortable. They also rent out houses that look like they were built in the 40s or 50s. People stay here year after year. My wife's family has been coming here for 20 years on Labor day. There is a pier with a roof over it at the lake. There is a small pavilion nearby. It is advertised as the nations safest lake as it is spring fed and reasonably clear. It is also shallow a long was out. Don't expect modern conveniences here and you won't be surprised.
